Hello once again from the West Texas Headquarters For Fossil Fuel Burning Firearms Owning Jingoistic Conservative Demons. At least we are "Demons" in the eyes of Maxine Waters who made the recent statement that ALL REPUBLICANS ARE DEMONS. But of course what she actually meant was that ALL CONSERVATIVES ARE DEMONS since many so called "Moderate Republicans" are just as goofy as Maxine Waters. Oh, and while we are on the subject of Maxine Waters (D-CA), what were the final results of the investigation into her ethics violations?

CUTS:

There are all kinds of cuts. There are so called "Middle Class Tax Cuts". There are non existent "Spending Cuts". There are also recently passed "Payroll Tax Cuts". There should be massive "Spending Cuts" but these are non-existent also. And of course there are also proposed "Military Cuts" which I fear are coming sooner than they should.

Let me address these so called CUTS individually.

Middle Class Tax Cuts:

We have been told for several years now that if Obama has his way that NO ONE....let me repeat.... NO ONE who earns less than $250,000 per year WILL receive a tax increase. But here lately I have seen several videos of Obama saying that NO ONE who earns less than $250,000 per year SHOULD pay any higher taxes. There are light years difference in WILL NOT and SHOULD NOT. Could it be that the World's Most Articulate and Intelligent Human is once more lyin' his ass off?

Spending Cuts:

Isn't it funny that every time we hear of any type of budget appropriations or bills before the House or Senate that "Spending Cuts" other than spending on our Military are promiscuous by their absence? Surely not more lies by elected vermin.

Military Cuts:

I have read several articles and heard any number of reports in which the Obama Administration is preparing to cut our Military Forces back by at least 68,000 people. And under Military Cuts I feel I must include the reports that the Obama Administration is proposing as much as an 80% reduction in the future for our deployed nuclear weapons. OK, what will Russia, China, North Korea, India, and other nuclear powers be doing while we are going through with these massive cuts which could actually reduce us to 1950 levels?

I'm sure that when Vladimir Putin learns that Obama and his team of incompetents intend to play nice that he will surely go along with that.

And even more important, why should Obama, or for that matter ANY U.S. PRESIDENT, choose to weaken our country militarily with Iran on the verge of obtaining nuclear weapons along with a solemn promise to wipe Israel off the face of the earth?

Conclusion:

In my humble opinion, the cuts in our military and nuclear capabilities are the only cuts on which this incompetent administration is serious. They have lied to the American people from the beginning and continue to do so.

I will address the Payroll Tax Cuts under the GUTLESS section.

TRAVEL:

For the past several months I have watched The O'Reilly Factor less and less and have come to view many of the opinions expressed by Bill O'Reilly as pure bull shit.

Last week he ran a segment on one of his shows in which he and "Super Varmint" Geraldo Rivera were discussing travel in "Old" Mexico. And in my opinion neither of them were 100% right and Geraldo was really close to being 100% wrong.

Geraldo took the view that while the border areas of Mexico might be dangerous, the interior and popular tourist areas such as Acapulco, Cozumel, Cancun, and several other areas were perfectly safe. On this point I pretty much have the view that while Geraldo Rivera might have a Hispanic ancestry and I am sure speaks better Spanish than do I, he doesn't know horse crap from wild honey about the dangers to American tourists in the country of Mexico.

And of course in the interest of being "Fair and Balanced", Bill O'Reilly took the opposite view and I had to agree with him on this. Then at the end of the segment, Bill O'Reilly said that he would probably never visit Mexico again in his lifetime. That was all well and good but he had to add to his final statement that he was NOT AFRAID to go there, he just did not think it was wise.

At about this point I decided that O'Reilly had about as much common sense as an American College Student during Spring Break. How many stupid students have either been killed, kidnapped, assaulted, robbed, raped or fallen prey to some other misfortune while visiting the nation of Mexico?

I can assure you that I have probably traveled in Mexico more than most Americans and I will NEVER RETURN as long as the Mexican Government is as corrupt as it is at present. O'Reilly was correct in his assessment that the law enforcement in Mexico was as criminal as the cartels. And that I believe is true.

But the bottom line is that anyone who pays any attention to Geraldo Rivera on any subject is not in possession of a full stringer of fish.

This particular segment and the O'Reilly Factor as a whole are just another example of the FOX News Channel being marginally better than CNN or any of the other alphabet networks.

GUTLESS:

I have a couple of items under this section.

First of all there are the so called "Payroll Tax Cuts" which are nothing more than a "De-Funding" of Social Security and Medicare. In one breath our elected officials along with those who wish to become elected officials tell us that Social Security and Medicare and Medicaid are BROKEN insofar as having the funds necessary for their operation. So I am gathering that their idea on how to repair them is to take away some of the funding which has been in place for years.

Actually, the Social Security system would be in fairly decent shape if the funds which were withheld from paychecks since 1937 had actually been put into a separate account and left alone to draw interest and pay benefits. However our elected officials cannot stand to see funds available for theft without stealing them for their pet projects.

And there is no doubt that with life expectancy being longer and people working longer prior to retirement that some changes are in order for the system. And perhaps cutting the withholding PERMANENTLY might not be all that bad of an idea. HOWEVER, doing a temporary cut for purely POLITICAL REASONS as a load of crap.

On a couple of occasions the Republican controlled House has had an opportunity to do the right thing but have neglected to do what was right and simply caved in to the Democrat demands. I personally believe that many of our incumbent Congressmen/women are GUTLESS. They are more interested in being perceived as being willing to compromise than they are in doing what is right FOR THE RIGHT REASONS.

In our own West Texas delegation we had one member who represents Tom Green County (San Angelo) and other areas vote FOR the proposition while two more voted against the proposition. I am rapidly becoming convinced that this one Representative is more interested in playing nice with others than he is in doing the right thing.

But to me, we have at present a really weak Speaker of the House in the person of John Boehner. Up to this point I have heard him talk a good game but when it comes to standing up for Conservatives and fighting the Democrats he is about as useful as "Frog Millhouse" was in a fist fight in the old Gene Autry movies. If, when the Republicans have a majority in the House, they are afraid to stand up to the Democrats then GUTLESS is about all I can think of in describing them.

Last week NBC/MSNBC News heifer, Andrea Mitchell was interviewing one of the contributors to the Santorum campaign. I only caught part of the interview but the man was speaking about birth control and made the comment, JOKINGLY, that in his day aspirin was used as a birth control device. The aspirin tablet was held between the knees. He was laughing as he said it. You would have thought someone had dropped a black mamba down the front of Andrea Mitchell's blouse. She had a shocked look on her face and took a moment to gather her senses (what few she has) and told the guy that she was trying to find words to respond. Now the "Aspirin between the knees" is an old joke that I first heard when birth control pills first came on the scene. The guy wasn't trying to be ugly or insinuate anything other than to illustrate that birth control was an individual choice and actually interject the idea of personal responsibility perhaps entering into the equation.

Anyway, Andrea Mitchell and most other liberals were shocked by this statement and chose to make a major issue out of it.

Then enter Rick Santorum. Santorum responded by saying, accurately I might add, that the guy was making a joke when he made the statement. But then, Santorum had to go on and say that what had been said would probably have been better off not being said and that this "Off Color" statement was uncalled for. "OFF COLOR"? I can think of hundreds of examples of things which might have been said which could be classified as "Off Color". But what this guy said was not. It is an old joke and if someone has never heard it before is still a bit humorous. But I thought that Santorum showed a total lack of guts when he threw his supporter to the wolves.

It is fairly obvious to me that Andrea Mitchell along with damn near every liberal I have seen possess a sense of humor roughly paralleling the Spanish Inquisition.

While I might not agree with New Jersey Governor Christie on a lot of stuff, I must agree with the statement he made within the past couple of days about Warren Buffett when he spoke about Buffett whining about himself not paying enough income tax. Governor Christie said that Warren Buffet should just make a big tax donation and SHUT UP. I AGREE.

The other morning, Saturday I believe, I turned on my car radio and the station which was on was ESPN Radio. It is not on every day but takes up the entire day on Saturday. During college football season there are some fairly interesting topics. But after football season is over they have two or three boobs on there and ALL they discuss is the NBA. And most of the stuff they discuss about the NBA are about: KOBE (Kobe Bryant - LA Lakers), LE BRON (LeBron James - Miami Heat) and MELO (Carmelo Anthony - NY Knicks).

At the risk of pissing off all of you NBA fans, I could care less about what LeBron is "Tweeting" or "Twittering" or whatever in the hell he does. And mentioning "Melo" every other sentence is wearing pretty thin. But finally they covered a story about the Lakers having a "Players Only" meeting and after the meeting the reporters cornered Kobe and were inquiring about what was discussed at this meeting. And of course, Kobe being the closed mouth individual he is, declined to tell them anything about the subject matter of this all important meeting. One reporter said that "The World Wants To Know". Along about that juncture in time I felt as if this reporter was a bit misinformed as to "The World", or he obviously had me confused with someone who gave a damn about the subject of a meeting of a bunch of overpaid whiners.

ESPN is deservedly on our Varmint List.

Earlier in the week there was an article in the (Sub) Standard Times and a photograph of a local man who is a gunsmith by trade. He has done some work for me in the past and is quite good. Anyway, I was glad to see the article then I noticed that it was written by a reporter who more than likely did not know the first thing about firearms.

What was your first clue.... you ask? The article had a photograph of this gunsmith standing over a grinding wheel with what appeared to be the top slide from a Model 1911 Semi-Automatic pistol. I am fairly familiar with 1911 style Semi-Automatic pistols as I have owned at least 25 of them at one point in time or another.

Anyway the caption under this photo told us that the man was holding the barrel of a gun on a grinding stone. Of course being somewhat critical of the media I immediately noticed that this girl didn't know a pistol barrel from a whiskey barrel and while he was holding the slide over the grinding wheel, he more than likely had a polishing wheel on the machine and was polishing the slide rather than grinding it.

My point being that the (Sub) Standard Times being an old news paper in West Texas and is read by quite a few people who are firearms owners might accidentally attempt to be accurate in their descriptions of their photos.

I realize that this is not going to put any of us in a different tax bracket and on the scale of pivotal moments in our lives will rank rather low, I still believe that people who report items to us either in print or on the radio or television should at least try to be accurate the majority of the time.

I am seriously concerned about the direction things are headed in the Middle East. I have absolutely no doubt that at some point in time in the near future that Israel is going to be forced into taking some action against Iran. Of course the question immediately comes to mind as to what will the rest of the anti-Israel Middle Eastern countries do.

I believe it is fairly obvious that we have pretty much backed a pro-terrorist regime change in Egypt. The new leaders, the Muslim Brotherhood, are already making threatening noises against Israel should the United States cut off our country's financial aid to Egypt. I am not entirely sure that these turds do not need to be strongly reminded of the age old formula of - - - Extreme Heat + Sand = Glass.

If this band of incompetents in Washington do ANYTHING other than back Israel to the hilt FROM THE GET-GO, then none of us can believe what else could be in store for us. We are running the risk of becoming a second rate power in the world. And I frankly don't give a damn if we are loved by the world. It would be nice if we could have the friendship of every nation on the planet BUT that is just not going to happen. AND, regardless if we are loved or respected, our enemies need to fear us in the sense that they know that bad things will happen if they go against us.

Keep in mind that back in 1991, Sadaam Hussein actually thought his military could stand up to ours and of course he was wrong. But right now that idiot Ahmadinejad actually believes that his military is a match for ours. And of course under another four years of Obama, he might be right.

(3) CONSTITUTION / ENOUGH / FOX - 2/15/12

Greetings once more from the West Texas Headquarters For The Vast Right Wing Jingoistic Conspiracy.

Today is our 54th Wedding Anniversary so I will attempt to be a bit less critical than is the norm.............. yeah, right.

CONSTITUTION:

Let me begin by quoting the First Amendment of the United States Constitution:

Congress SHALL MAKE NO LAW RESPECTING AN ESTABLISHMENT OF RELIGION, OR PROHIBITING THE FREE EXERCISE THEREOF; or abridging THE FREEDOM OF SPEECH, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. ( The capitalization of two parts are my own doing)

Now I realize that some years back the majority of the Supreme Court Justices gave out several interpretations under which we have had to live for a good portion of our lives. And I realize that all of the present Justices have law degrees and all that. But one must seriously question how many of these decisions, under which we must all live, were made using even the slightest bit of common sense. And one must also wonder by what stretch of the imagination these learned Justices came to many of these decisions.

Let me point out a few:

Above, I have quoted the entire First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States. In which part is "A Woman's Right To Choose" covered?

Exactly which sentence could be interpreted, by even an incompetent attorney, to mean that a prayer might be prohibited at a public gathering?

And if you notice, the line regarding the people assembling is confined to a PEACEFUL ASSEMBLY.

And does the sentence which addresses FREEDOM OF SPEECH, does it make a distinction regarding race, age, ethnic background or any other criteria which would favor a single group?

For years, I have heard that we are ruled by 535 people. (For those of you residing in the People's Republic of San Francisco that is the number of elected Representatives - 435 added to the 100 members of the U.S. Senate) But if you really take a look at who eventually makes the rules under which we must all live it really boils down to the NINE members of the United States Supreme Court. And to boil it down even further with many of the rulings handed down by a 5 to 4 vote, often we are forced into abiding by the rule of ONE Supreme Court Justice.

Of course the Justices who appear to be more Conservative in their interpretation of the Constitution are Justice Scalia; Justice Thomas; Chief Justice Roberts; and Justice Alito. Which leaves us with the full time liberals as Justice Kagan; Justice Sotomayor; Justice Ginsburg; and Justice Breyer. Often the deciding vote is in the hands of Justice Kennedy who was a Reagan appointee. Occasionally, Justice Kennedy will do the right thing but then on other occasions he sides with the flaming liberals/progressives/socialists and their wishes become the rule.

Several years back I can recall Justice Breyer making the statement that international laws and the laws and customs of OTHER COUNTRIES should be considered when making decisions which affect every single one of us. Then just recently, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was seen and heard making the statement that when a country is drafting a new constitution that that country should NOT use the United States Constitution as a model. This butt ugly old heifer then suggested that using the Constitution of South Africa would be better.

One must wonder if this old squack has ever studied the history of South Africa? One must also wonder just exactly how much faith any of us should put in ANY U.S. SUPREME COURT JUSTICE who advocates using the customs and laws of a foreign country when making decisions regarding American law which can have a negative effect on American citizens? Oh, incidentally both Justice Breyer and Justice Ginsburg are both Clinton appointees.

But in the long run it seems as if when attacking a religion or a religious custom or belief is being perpetrated by the Democrats/Progressives/Socialists the the First Amendment applies but only if the "Separation Of Church And State" is in favor of these liberals and the actions which they support. And of course, the First Amendment DOES NOT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE. BUT when the Liberals/Progressives/Socialists are taking a stand on an issue which is curtailing religious statements or practicing religion at certain locations then these Left Wing Mutts DO NOT RECOGNIZE THE PART OF THE FIRST AMENDMENT WHICH ADDRESSES THE FREEDOM OF SPEECH BEING ABRIDGED.

The Democrats/Progressives/Moderates/ Socialists seem to be rather flexible bending in whichever direction best suits their ideas.

And for many years, before the vermin gained control of our Public (Government) Education System that the part of the First Amendment dealing with the establishment of religion was put in the Constitution to guarantee that GOVERNMENT did not try to control religious freedoms. But of course the Supreme Court has finally gotten around to bending the original meaning to suit certain special interest groups.

God help us if one of the conservative Justices dies or retires while Obama is President. I think we have already seen a representative sample of the type of Supreme Court Justice he favors.

I have combined these two subjects as they are closely related.

Let me begin by saying that I did not watch the last Academy Awards Show. Nor did take time out to watch the Emmys. BUT I made up for it by NOT WATCHING THE GRAMMYS. I did see though where "Adele" won FOUR Grammys. Of course I would not recognize "Adele" if she were to ride through my living room on one of the Budweiser Clydesdales. But I did notice that "Foo Fighters" captured FIVE Grammys. I must also confess that "Foo Fighters" do not number among my list of favorite entertainers.

But according to an article in the (Sub) Standard Times, the mood of "The Grammys" was dampened over the death of Whitney Houston.

Now before I go on, I feel bad for the family members and friends of Whitney Houston. I am sure that her death was a blow to all of them

But please spare me all the phony tears and comments of a plethora of her followers. And I must say at this point that FOX News came dangerously close to making the Varmint's List this week with their overblown coverage. This was literally all they covered for a couple of days and are still bringing it up at every opportunity.

I have never heard so much tripe or seen so much coverage over a death of an entertainer. One of the FOX News mutts made the statement that Whitney's death rivaled that of Michael Jackson.

Finally this morning I heard some reports that although the cause of Whitney Houston's death was drowning, the presence of several prescription drugs were in evidence and that the night prior she was observed drinking at a large party. Of course perhaps the FOX News experts were not privy to all that information and I must wonder that if they were, would they have dared to report same. The crowning blow was when a special was run on the subject of Whitney Houston's death and the host of this riveting piece of journalism was none other than Geraldo Rivera..... You remember...... the same Geraldo Rivera who a number of years back had a special on a secret room in Al Capone's old house in Chicago.

Anyway, if Geraldo Rivera is reporting it, I am not interested.

Then of course we were subjected to repeated showings of Whitney Houston singing the National Anthem at one of the Super Bowls several years back. Of course every one of the reporters had to tell us what an absolute superb Whitney did in her rendition of the National Anthem.

Now at the risk of being branded as opinionated let me say this about that performance. I thought Whitney Houston did an absolutely horrible job in singing our National Anthem. Once again, her performance was more about showing the masses the range of her voice and more about her than it was in honoring our country. A bit later on, I have a little more to say about Our National Anthem.... BUT I will have nothing to say further regarding the death of Whitney Houston other than to make this observation. The mixing of certain drugs and alcohol is extremely dangerous and FOX News and the rest of the media should be ashamed of themselves for making this more important than the death of our military personnel in Afghanistan.

From now on, I declare this a WHITNEY FREE ZONE. ENOUGH!!!

As much money as the NFL rakes in each Sunday, it is a small favor to ask of them.

For the past couple of days I have listened to various members of the Obama administration testifying before some type of House/Senate committee. The response of these vermin do not in any manner answer the questions put before them. It is really very hard to make any sense out of some of their answers. If these people are any indication of the intelligence level of Obama's appointees then one must seriously wonder just how in the hell this Chicago Con-Man can get re-elected.

However, I think I might have the answer. The Republican Party at the National level is practically indistinguishable from the Democrats/Progressives/Moderates/Socialists.

This past week there were so many things which put me on TILT that I am not sure where to start.

ENDORSEMENTS:

I would imagine that by now, most of us have come to the conclusion that all these "ENDORSEMENTS" from the Rich & Famous are about as popular as a wild pig at a Mosque...... or for that matter, a tame pig.

The mainstream media and FOX News as well were on the edge of their seats just waiting to see just whom "The Donald" (for those of you residing in the People's Republic of San Francisco, that would be Donald Trump) was going to endorse. The media obviously had me confused with someone who really gave a crap about who this arrogant turd was going to support.

There were several reports that "The Donald" was going to cast his support to the campaign of Newt Gingrich. And he might have been but after Newt had his ass handed to him in Florida it was no great surprise to me that "The Donald" changed his support over to Mitt Romney. "The Donald" doesn't like to be on a losing team.

Actually, it is probably a pretty good thing that "The Donald" is very wealthy or his act would probably result in a serious ass whipping.

I am not trying to say that "The Donald" is not an intelligent person and obviously a good business man but please spare me all the coverage this guy gets from damn near everyone.

And if any of you were unfortunate enough to either see or hear "The Donald's" endorsement statement you would have realized immediately that the whole event was more about "The Donald" than it was about some lame ass candidate. But isn't that pretty much the case when someone of great wealth or fame is constantly in the limelight playing one of the many "Media Darlings"?

So I have this request to make. If I ever run for public office again..... PLEASE DO NOT LET "THE DONALD" ENDORSE ME.

If I ever run afoul of the law or am involved in some criminal investigation...... PLEASE DO NOT LET FRANCO HARRIS SPEAK ON MY BEHALF.

If I ever have the occasion to be interviewed by Shepard Smith and don't slap his ass silly ..... PLEASE HAVE ME COMMITTED BECAUSE MY LACK OF AGGRESSION AGAINST THIS VARMINT WILL TELL YOU THAT I HAVE BEEN OVERCOME WITH AN ATTACK OF LUNACY.

The Republican Party better get off their backsides or this present incompetent resident of the White House will be handed another four years.

Please realize that the media is forcing Mitt Romney down our throats just like they did John McCain. And the results will be the same.

SUPER BOWL:

The game itself was a pretty good game. And the Patriots could have won on the last pass by Tom Brady into the end zone.

But what really got my rear end red was all the "Pre-Game" crap. But when the NFL is weak minded enough to have incompetents sing the National Anthem and have a Half-Time Show which has been pretty pathetic for a number of years and present the overall sorriest group of commercials I have viewed in a long time, then it is about time to have "The Donald" take over as Commissioner.

That broad who called herself singing the National Anthem was way more interested in showing millions of viewers her overall range than she was in honoring our country.

Now if all the Pre-Game crap weren't enough, we were then subjected to a plethora of "Post-Game" reports. This is just what I need..... a program telling me what I am going to see.... then the actual game ....... followed by a bunch of bozos telling me what it was that I just saw. Sort of reminds me of a "State-Of-The-Union Speech" by the world's most articulate and intelligent human.

The media believes us all to be as stupid as themselves.

I stopped watching professional basketball a number of years back and I seldom watch professional baseball unless one of the teams playing is either the Rangers or the Astros.

And I realize that several passes thrown by Tom Brady were catchable but dropped by some pretty darn good receivers. But from what I read about the behavior of Brady's wife after the game, she showed her ass to the world. And perhaps someone should tell her that we are pretty well aware that her husband can't throw the ball and catch it too, but bad mouthing his team mates is pretty weak and pretty small on her part. HEY! This might qualify her to be a part of "Team Obama".

And finally, I watched a couple of the commercials which were pretty funny but all you hear about since the game was the Chrysler commercial which featured Clint Eastwood. I have seen it several times and I suppose it could be spun into something which could support the Obama administration OR it might be that Clint just read his lines and they actually meant nothing. I don't know but neither do a bunch of the so called Conservative Republicans who are whining at the top of their voices.

It appears to me as if the RNC and the Republican Party as a whole has a bunch more to worry about that some two minute commercial.... you know ...... like picking a candidate who can defeat Obama in November.

Oh, and while I am at it, either move the Pro-Bowl to a week or so AFTER the Super Bowl..... either that or CANCEL IT.

SURVEILLANCE:

I have read several articles in the past week about how appalled the Mayor of New York City has been when he learned that some of his Counter-Terrorism Officers were receiving some information which indicated that perhaps members of the Muslim Community might be involved in some anti-American activities. And then the Associated Press conducted their own investigation which revealed that the NYPD might be placing Mosques under surveillance.

Then of course Mayor Bloomberg showed just what a brave soul he was when he bowed down to all this criticism and joined with NYPD Chief Raymond Kelly in condemning these surveillance techniques and insisted that police ONLY FOLLOW LEGITIMATE LEADS AND DO NOT CONDUCT PREVENTATIVE SURVEILLANCE IN ETHNIC COMMUNITIES. And the whole reason behind this idiot request is the DEMANDS of a local Muslim group which DEMANDS independent community control of the NYPD and a WELL-FUNDED OVERSIGHT MECHANISM WITH SUBPOENA POWER.

I can assure you that if any city or county or state ever institutes such a committee and gives that committee subpoena powers that the level of law enforcement due the taxpayers will fold.

Perhaps someone should inform Mayor Bloomberg just exactly which group of people were behind the attacks on 9/11. What a boob. I really feel for the good people of New York and especially for those men and women who dedicated their lives to the protection of the citizens of that city.

Earlier this week I listened to a statement made by Supreme Court Justice, Ruth Bader Ginsberg. In this statement she was speaking to the new regime in Egypt. She advise them NOT TO USE THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES as a model for their new Constitution. But instead use the Constitution of South Africa as it was more in tune with human rights. One must wonder if this butt ugly heifer has any knowledge at all of the history of South Africa.

I was a bit less than impressed with Defense Secretary Leon Panetta when last week he announced explicitly the plans for ending the U.S. combat role in Afghanistan. How smart is that to let the world know just exactly what your military plans are for pulling out of an area. But why should any of us be surprised. I just wonder how many of us expected Obama to appoint a competent Secretary of Defense.

I read an article which told of an inquiry by officials into the Nobel Peace Prize. This inquiry arose over accusations that they have drifted away from the prize's original selection criteria by choosing such winners as President Barack Obama. Funny, I sort of began to question their criteria when they awarded it to Yasser Arafat. Basically I place all these Nobel Prizes in the same category as the NFL PRO BOWL.

OK. California is beyond broke but California law makers passed sweeping auto emission standards which include a MANDATE to have 1.4 MILLION electric and hybrid vehicles on state roads by 2025. The California Air Resources Board unanimously approved new rules which require that one in seven of the new cars sold in the state in 2025 be an electric or other zero-emission vehicle............ BEAM ME UP SCOTTY.

I read an editorial column this week in the (Sub) Standard Times. It was written by Britt Towery, a columnist with whom I seldom agree. But on this occasion I did agree with him. The article was entitled, In Remembrance of Confederate Air Force. I don't know how long the Confederate Air Force has been in existence but I have heard of it for many years and have been to air shows where members have flown old WW II aircraft of all different kinds and from all different countries. At one time their headquarters were in Harlingen, Texas but they had vintage aircraft all over the State of Texas and even some in Hobbs, New Mexico.

The CAF is comprised of more than 11,000 members, several hundred of whom serve as pilots. They have a fleet of more than 140 airplanes known as "The Ghost Squadron". Their headquarters are now located in Midland, Texas.

The reason I was in agreement with Mr. Towery in his article was that he brought out the fact that due to "POLITICAL CORRECTNESS" the name "Confederate" Air Force was changed to "COMMEMORATIVE AIR FORCE" as the word CONFEDERATE was offensive to some. But Mr. Towery refuses to call it anything other than the "Confederate Air Force" since he has a document from 1959 when he was commissioned as a Colonel in this organization.

I am not sure exactly where Herman Cain or Newt Gingrich or Mitt Romney or any of the others are getting their figures on what American pay percentage wise on their income. Columnist Deroy Murdock wrote an article in which he quoted the Tax Policy Center figures which reported that in 2011, those earning between $20,000 and $30,000 paid an effective rate of 5.7% in COMBINED income, payroll, corporate and death taxes. Those who made at least $1 Million paid 29.1%.

His article also pointed out that Giga-wealthy investor Warren Buffet claims that he pays a smaller share of his income in taxes than does his secretary, Debbie Bosanek. He also points out that Buffett could reverse that now by paying himself more than $100,000 and by earning less of his income in capital gains. Buffett should do this right now or stop whining. I second the motion.

Greetings from a Vast Right Wing Jingoistic Conspiratorial West Texan Who Is FED UP WITH PRIMARIES And FED UP WITH ALLEGED CONSERVATIVE CANDIDATES.

CUTS:

On Thursday, January 26th there was an article in the (Sub) Standard Times telling us that the present administration, under the guidance of the world's most articulate and intelligent human, is planning some pretty drastic cuts in our Military. The article stated that the size of our Military will be reduced by some 80,000 troops. But not to worry. Defense secretary Leon Panetta insists that budget and manpower cuts will not hurt the Military's effectiveness.

Now I do not propose to suggest that there is not some wasteful spending by the Pentagon and the Military BUT is this a good time to be cutting our forces? I don't suppose that Iran being on the verge of obtaining nuclear weapons is a good enough reason for us to be in a heightened state of preparedness.

It seems to me as if there are other spots to make drastic cuts before we begin to cut our Military in size and strength. But then again, I feel really comfortable in the knowledge that the world's most articulate and intelligent human will be able to impose his will on foreign powers.

I am fearful that not only our Military but our country as a whole is being sent to the back of the line by foreign powers who are not laboring under the lack of leadership that we are experiencing at present.

Oh, but I forgot, the jug butted spouse of the world's most articulate and intelligent human has said how much she and Barack respect our Military families.

If Obama is not replaced in November I fear that we are headed for some really dismal times. Just look at how our economy and effectiveness in world matters has suffered under the total lack of leadership of Obama and his incompetent staff. For a little over 3 years, this mutt has been doing nothing but creating government positions for his less than stellar staff. For a little over 3 years all this mutt was doing was campaigning for a second term. Now stop and think about how totally out of control he will become, and think of the irreparable damage he can do to our nation when he DOES NOT have to concern himself with re-election.

If he is not defeated in November, our country is lost. If the Republicans do not take control of the Senate and retain a majority in the House, we are done.

And all it will take is for the weak ass American voters to be more concerned with getting a "MODERATE" elected.

Let me give you a quick example of bi-partisan/compromise legislation. McCain/Feingold Campaign Finance Reform. Enough Said.

PRIMARY:

FINALLY, the Florida Primary IS OVER. Yes I know that Mitt Romney won it pretty easily and I am sure that in the minds of many this really puts him in the driver's seat.

As I have said on many occasions in the past: I was not very enthusiastic about ANY of the Republican candidates. It struck me as kind of funny that just prior to Romney and Gingrich descending upon Florida, Gingrich was well ahead in the polls. Then after all their ads began to show up the polls suddenly turned in favor of Romney.

Of course one of the reasons which I attribute to this change in favorites was the fact that Newt Gingrich, while professing to despise negative campaign tactics, was consistently using negative campaign rhetoric. Yes, I know that Romney was doing the same thing but when you have the amount of money available as did Romney, you can overwhelm the opposition with volume. And that is what happened in Florida. I heard on report this morning which said that Gingrich ran something a little over 200 ads whereas Romney ran over 1,300. (Now for those of you residing in the People's Republic of San Francisco, 1,300 is greater than 200)

Also in my estimation, Gingrich had some really poor advice in continuing to attack Romney on some of his past investments and the like. I believe he would have been better served in telling the voters what he intended to do to change the direction of this country. And if you have to talk bad about someone, how about concentrating on OBAMA?

AH, but not to worry. Romney can't stand success either. I heard an audio clip of Romney making the statement that HE WAS NOT WORRIED ABOUT THE VERY POOR AS THEY HAD A SAFETY NET TO FALL BACK ON----- AND HE WAS NOT WORRIED ABOUT THE VERY RICH AS THEY WOULD DO O.K.---- BUT HE WAS WORRIED ABOUT THE OTHER 95% OF WORKING AMERICANS. He went on to add that while the VERY POOR had this safety net, if the net had holes in it then he would plug the holes.

I am assuming that the safety net to which he was referring was the plethora of welfare programs which have not worked well up to the present and in fact have kept some of the very poor in that same spot for years. And to add the statement, "If it had holes in it" sounded more like something out of the mouths of Larry, Moe, or Curley, than out of a man who wants to be President of the United States. Our welfare system has more holes than a warehouse full of Swiss cheese.

And one must wonder just how smart it is for a candidate, who is also very rich, to make the statement that he was not worried about the Very Poor. Because anything after that will be lost in the translation by the media vermin.

And please spare me the fairy tale about Mitt Romney being a Conservative. He is not. Is he more conservative than Barack Obama? Marginally.

WEST:

Now since I am less than enamored with any of the Republican candidates, let me tell you who I think would have made a good candidate. Actually I have two. One was former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton. I liked his no nonsense style at the U.N. and I have never seen him at a loss for an answer to a foreign policy question.

And the second person, and by no means least, Congressman Allen West from Florida.

I have often heard it said that the newer people elected to the Senate or the House have to take a back seat and be seen and not heard. I think that attitude is a load of crap but I am sure that the senior members of the House and Senate pretty much beat the newer members into place.

But apparently, Representative Allen West isn't quite ready to play that game. I have watched him on any number of occasions address a bunch of different issues and have yet to disagree with him on anything.

I like his background and I especially like his style when it comes to standing up to the senior bullies. He doesn't put up with a bunch of nonsense from these vermin and is pretty quick to call them out.

I am sure that most of you heard him in the past couple of days making his statement that Obama; Pelosi; Reid; and several more should "Get The Hell Out Of America". My thanks to Colonel West for expressing my feelings to the letter.

Of course with the Republican National Committee in the hands of a bunch of Elite Moderates, the chances of Congressman (Col) Allen West getting a chance at the top job are pretty remote. But, he gets my vote and my support.

Earlier today, I heard a news report that Senator Diane Feinstein, who serves on some type of Senate Intelligence Committee, let the cat out of the bag to reporters that the Chief of the Israeli Mossad had come to the U.S. to discuss a possible strike to Iran.

Way to go Diane. Where in the Hell is that idiot Assistant U.S. Attorney who prosecuted Scooter Libby for "Outing" Valerie Plame? Of course at the time of the investigation, the U.S. Assistant Attorney already knew that Libby was not the one who had outed this overpaid clerk.

Earlier this morning I was listening to a news program when they were interviewing Varmint Lanny Davis who is the former Clinton attorney and liberal mutt. I guess that Lanny must think the rest of us are complete fools as he was attempting to make the morning radio hosts and the rest of us believe that Barack Obama was actually pretty conservative in most of his views. After listening to a few minutes of this tripe I became aware that I had an uncontrollable urge to slap the crap out of Lanny...... then when he got up..... slap him again and continue to slap him until my arm was tired. Obama a Conservative?

On January 27th I was listening to a news report over the radio one afternoon and some idiot female reporter was speaking of the two prisoners, one being an American, who had been rescued from Muslims in Somalia, and were at present in a medical facility in Italy. This brilliant reporter said that the American girl would be returning to the U.S. from Italy by HELICOPTER. I couldn't help but wonder when they left Europe, how the re-fueling of the helicopter was going to work over the Atlantic.

Then the thought crossed my mind that perhaps this reporter had possibly been educated at some university which prohibited any reference to world geography as I was quite sure she had never seen a map of either Europe or the United States and I was also pretty sure she had no idea of the flight capabilities of a helicopter.

As you are probably aware, I have less and less use for the NFL and professional sports in general. I will probably watch the Super Bowl next Sunday with a group of friends but the NFL Pro Bowl holds very little interest for me anymore. I did tune in last Sunday to see who had made the two squads. Unfortunately just as I turned my TV onto the channel carrying the game, the PRE-GAME SHOW was in full swing. The PRE-GAME SHOW, at least the part I watched, consisted of some idiot jumping around like he had fire ants in his drawers, singing some Hip-Hop ditty which I suppose by a far stretch of the imagination could be classified as a song, at least by today's standards.

I immediately turned it to another station and checked back in a few minutes later when to my extreme surprise and pleasure, the National Anthem was performed by a young man from the United States Air Force who sang the Anthem as it was meant to be sung. I was pleasantly surprised that the idiot NFL would allow this to take place.
Then the game started and very early in the contest, I noticed that these highly paid athletes were going at about three quarter speed and no one was really blocking or tackling at even a junior high level. The crowd actually was booing the performance on several occasions. One of the announcers made a comment about it. Another commentator said that you really couldn't expect anyone to go full speed and you sure didn't want anyone to get injured.

While I will agree that you don't want anyone to get injured but your chances of getting hurt are increased when you are half-assing your effort. And I don't need some idiot telling me that this is just and All-Star game and that no one takes it seriously. Funny..... the winners are getting paid $50,000 each and the losing players get $25,000 each and I don't imagine they are letting the fans into the stadium free.

I also remember some Pro-Bowl games back in the late 1950's and early 1960's when running backs like Jim Brown and Jim Taylor would bury your ass. I can remember people like Dick Butkus hitting just like he did in mid-season. I can remember watching an interview with Gayle Sayers when he was asked what was the hardest he had ever been hit and his answer was, "Butkus in practice". Yeah, those guys went half speed.

The point is that it has become more of a show with players who are paid so much during the regular season that a $50,000 payday just isn't all that important. Oh, and the league also pays their way and their expenses for this fiasco.

Now you know why the NFL is on the Varmint List.

February is a big month around our house. February 4th is the birthday of one of our Korean students; February 14th is Valentine's Day; February 15th is our 54th Wedding Anniversary; February 18th is the birthday of another of our Korean students; February 19th is the birthday of our youngest Grandson; February 20th is my wife's Birthday. So this is a busy month for me but it is also one of my favorite months with lots to celebrate and be thankful for.

Greetings from a Sick Of Debates, Sick Of Speeches, Sick Of Whining, Sick Of Lying, Jingoistic, Gun Owning. West Texas Fossil Fuel Burning, Angry, Right Wing Conspirator.

SPEECH:

On Tuesday night I had a previous commitment which I thought might take me through the State Of The Union Speech given by the world's most articulate and intelligent human. But I was wrong. After all, my meeting was not over until 8:30 P.M. and I returned home, secure in the knowledge that the lying Chicago con-man would be through with his performance. Not only was he not finished, he still had a plethora of lies to impart on the American public and the elected rabble who were present.

It was pretty much all I could do to pay attention to this arrogant turd but a few things did jump out at me. The first being just how he loved the United States Military. That must be the reason our military is being cut in funding and manpower.... out of love. You see how mistaken many of us were.

Then we had to hear about how sold he was on American Exceptionalism and how committed he and his followers were to improving our energy needs.

Next we have to listen to how good the economy is getting under his leadership and what problems he inherited from the "Previous Administration".

Then we are subjected to his views on a "High Speed Rail System" and "Renewable Energy".

There were a bunch more which escape my memory at this time.

But prior to his leaving the room we had to watch various elected mutts kiss his backside and of course his hug of Hillary Clinton and of course his congratulations to Leon Panetta about his "Great Job". A quick word about this show. Of course this was prior to us having knowledge about the SEAL Team rescuing two hostages being held by Somali Muslim Turds. I made the comment at that time that something was up with that and of course we made sure the TV cameras caught that exchange as well as the audio seeming to be a bit more clear regarding that attaboy.

This mutt tries to make political hay out of everything that happens, regardless of who it affects.

Answer me this: How can a guy who apologizes for America and does everything within his power to downgrade Americans and their Execptionalism, suddenly change his colors and start to brag on the abilities of our citizens? Could it be for POLITICAL PURPOSES? Surely not.

From what I understand, this "High Speed Rail System" is to be constructed in California. You know, the same California who is past broke due to throwing tax dollars from hard working people into programs which not only are over-priced, but DO NOT WORK? Now, since the State of California does not have the money to implement this "High Speed Rail System", where will the funding come from? Why from the Federal Government and to take it a step further, from our TAX DOLLARS.

And please spare us on how many jobs this boob and his Czars have created.

Also, the very next day I listened to audio clips of excerpts from previous speeches given by the world's most articulate and intelligent human and his great "State Of The Union Speech" appeared to be not much more than a conglomeration of lines from previous speeches. But that should not surprise any of us since he has really not accomplished a damn thing other than increasing the size and cost of the Federal Government at our expense.

TAXES:

OK. I'd like a show of hands from those who along about this time are feeling the pain and suffering of Warren Buffett and Bill Gates due to the fact that they both admittedly feel as if they DO NOT PAY ENOUGH TAXES to the IRS. I, for one, pray each night that Warren and Bill get some relief from the horrible pain which they both endure on a daily basis, I imagine.

Hey! I have a solution! How about if Warren and Bill stop taking advantage of taxes afforded corporations and taxes on capital gains and many other investments which reduce the amount of taxes they pay, and just carry it all on their 1040 form as ordinary income? That way Warren and Bill could feel good about themselves.

Or how about if Warren and Bill just send in all the extra tax dollars they feel they should to the IRS with instructions that it should be placed in the General Fund and used as the President and the Congressional boobs see fit?

Or, if the IRS would not accept those extra huge tax dollars under those circumstances, why don't Warren and Bill just take whatever millions they feel they should be paying extra and just give it to some city or county to be used as they see fit? Or how about Warren or Bill picking out a poor school district and give them enough money to completely operate their system without using our tax dollars? Or how about of Warren and Bill just buy a whole bunch of equipment which can be used by States, Counties, and Cities, thereby freeing up tax dollars to be used for other stuff or perhaps cutting our local tax obligations?

Or better still how about Warren and Bill shut up and stop trying to butter up the Liberal/Socialist/Democrat controlled media and stop their incessant whining about how they really care? The ONLY reason these two filthy rich turds are coming out with this type of tripe is to keep in good with the Federal Government and the Media. So without much further ado, I can tell Warren and Bill to stick it up their collective asses.

OIL:

Last week I filled my SUV and my Four Wheel Drive Pickup up with gasoline. They both burn regular unleaded gas and when I filled them up, the gasoline price at the pump was $3.02 per gallon. Then the piece in the (Sub) Standard Times on the following morning told about how Barack Hussein Obama had REJECTED the Keystone Pipeline which would run from the Canadian border to the refineries on the Texas Gulf Coast. Later that same day I drove by the station where I had filled up less than 24 hours earlier and the regular unleaded gasoline prices were $3.19 per gallon. (Now for those of you residing in the People's Republic of San Francisco, that is an INCREASE of 17 cents per gallon) Of course the increase could have been caused by many other factors but I thought it a bit strange that this occurred on THE NEXT DAY.

Then I began to think of other reasons and I think I might have hit upon the real reason..... It was George Bush's fault.

Then I began to think of lots of other things wrong in this country and have come up with George Bush being the real culprit behind EVERYTHING which has gone wrong over the past three years.

A quick word about this Keystone Pipeline. I am not entirely sure if this is the complete reason but I have heard Democrat/Socialist/Moderate elected incompetents spout off that this pipeline might cause irreparable damage to the Ogallala Aquifer in Nebraska. I lived in Hobbs, New Mexico for 30 years. The primary source of income in Hobbs, NM and in all of Southeast New Mexico and much of West Texas and the Panhandle Area of Texas and almost all of Oklahoma has to do with oil and gas. Needless to say, there is the odd pipeline here and there.... as a matter of fact all of those areas are loaded with various pipelines.

Now, just guess where almost all of Eastern New Mexico, the Texas Panhandle, the Oklahoma Panhandle, Western Kansas, Eastern Colorado, parts of Southern South Dakota and practically all of the State of Nebraska get their drinking water? Yep, you guessed it, the Ogallala Aquifer. And as I stated earlier, there is the occasional PIPELINE in Oklahoma, Texas, and New Mexico. But let us put our confidence in a Chicago Con-Man and some incompetent Czars and the Department of Energy rather than listen to people who know something about the oil and gas industry.

So I have pretty much decided that the reason this pipeline which would create thousands of good jobs is being blocked lies directly at the doorstep of the previous administration..... yep, you guessed it. It is George Bush's fault.

Last week I kept hearing about various ENDORSEMENTS which were forthcoming from various people. Of course I was about as interested in those endorsements as I am in the Miss America Pageant or the Academy Awards or the Emmy Awards programs. However if you watch the news or listen to the radio you were bound to hear them. Here are a few and my views on them:

Herman Cain's endorsement which was supposed to be a real surprise. The only thing which surprised me was that anyone in the Western Hemisphere would really give a damn about who Herman was going to endorse. So after the long and highly anticipated wait, Herman Cain endorsed....(drum roll)..... The American People. WOW! How profound! How new! How imaginative! How stupid. But what is even more stupid would be anyone who listened to anything Herman had to say at this time. For a guy who was totally innocent and was going to fight the "False Accusations" to the end, Ol' Herman folded like a cheap tent when the false accusers began to outnumber the crowds at a Penn State cover-up investigation.

Then we were subjected to the thrilling announcement of the Endorsement of Mitt Romney by John McCain. Yeah, that's who I try to listen to for some direction, the guy who was beaten like a tied goat by Barack Hussein Obama. John McCain IS NOT a conservative. He is not even a decent Republican. He is a Varmint of the highest order. Why listen to the guy WHO LOST?

Then I was subjected to several mornings over the past couple of weeks of listening to former Clinton Attorney and liberal Democrat hack Lanny Davis who didn't actually "Endorse" a candidate BUT did suggest at every convenient moment that Mitt Romney would be the hardest Republican to defeat come November. Now think about this. We are supposed to believe a Democrat/Moderate/Socialist is going to tell us who the toughest Republican to defeat would be?

Keep in mind, the LAST PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION, the Republican Party and the Republican National Committee pretty much allowed the liberal media to force John McCain down our throats. Of course I would vote for a rabid marmoset on methamphetamine over Barack Hussein Obama. And I showed that by voting for John McCain in that election. My entire life flashed before me as I was pushing the button voting FOR McCain.

But of course, this year, regardless of who the Republican candidate is, I will vote FOR him/her/it over Barack Hussein Obama.

Earlier today I heard a news story about a Energy Storage Unit Company which had declared bankruptcy. What is an "Energy Storage Unit", you ask? It is a company which manufactures BATTERIES for electric cars. Wait a minute! How can this be? The world's most articulate and intelligent human has told us all that Electric Automobiles are in our future.

And another little side note to this story is that this company received millions of tax dollars in Obama's Stimulus scheme. Hey! Do 'de name Solyndra ring a bell?

An article in the (Sub) Standard Times tells of the Israelis criticizing the Palestinians' top Muslim Cleric for a speech in which he quoted a religious text which includes passages about killing Jews in an end-of-days struggle. Mufti Mohammed Hussein's comments came at a political gathering of supporters of Palestinian President Mahmoud Habbas. He said his remarks were...... OK get ready for this....... "Taken Out Of Context." Hey! Is that not the excuse every single time a real turd gets caught talking trash?

Then again, it could be George Bush's Fault.

Another (Sub) Standard Times article told of N.Y. Mayor Michael Bloomberg saying that the N.Y.P.D. used TERRIBLE JUDGMENT in showing counter=terrorism trainees a documentary-type film which said that Muslim extremists are masquerading as moderates to to destroy America from within. The film is a 72 minute movie which has been branded INFLAMMATORY some Muslim organizations. Oh, well that makes a big difference. I thought for a moment that Mayor Bloomberg might have been caving in and kissing a little Muslim backside.

One must seriously wonder if perhaps George Bush might have had something to do with that film.

There was an article in our local paper which told the tragic story of the death of a young man from Menard, Texas. Menard is a little over an hour South of San Angelo. This young man was a Junior at Menard High School and was quite a good athlete. He had been named as a Junior to the All West Texas 1-A Football Squad. He and some friends were hunting rabbits on private property, with the owner's permission, when the accident occurred. He participated in many other school activities and was well liked in his community. The young man's name was Jonathan Burgess. Our prayers go out to his family and friends.

Sorry I am a day late but I had doctors appointments yesterday and was tied up all afternoon at the office of my Cardiologist. The report was very good and I am cutting down on one of my medications and the man who checked my Pacemaker/Defibrillator said that it was working properly and from his computer he actually was able to cut down on the power of the unit so the battery should last at least a year longer. That makes me very happy. Thank all of you for your prayers and notes and letters of support.

Happy New Year from a Thoroughly Disgusted Fed Up West Texas Fossil Fuel Burning Black Energy Believing Jingoistic Second Amendment Supporting Man Made Global Warming Doubting Right Wing Conspirator.

ELITES:

Here are a few definitions of the word "ELITE": A group or part of a group regarded as the best; Choice class; Select body; Upper class; High society; Aristocracy....... At least these are some of the definitions according to Random House and Webster.

But in today's political society in my estimation the definition of "ELITE" or "ELITIST" is: Arrogant, self centered, turd.

And the term can be applied to Republican as well as Democrat. When you really boil it down there is not one grain of sand's difference in an Elite Republican and an Elite Democrat.

All of them believe that average hard working Americans should have no real voice in how our government operates. Each and every one of them believe that none of us could possibly know what is best for us as individual Americans. Every one of these lice will lie to us in order to get elected and have absolutely no intention of following the wishes of those who put them in office.

I hold a firm belief that at least 90% of the people elected at the federal level fall into the "ELITE" category. And my estimate of the percentage of ELITES in the federal system might be actually too low.

Keep in mind how many so called "CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICANS" thought that our problems in the House of Representatives would be solved with the Republican takeover of the majority in that body. And then we were told that John Boehner was the answer to our prayers insofar as leadership in the House. As it turns out, Boehner appears just as capable of rolling over and playing games as did his bug eyed lying predecessor. I am completely fed up with Boehner and his whining and lack of strength in the clutch.

Please all of you, take a serious look at the list of Republican candidates, one of which we are hoping will unseat the most arrogant President we have ever seen. Try to pick the one who is most capable of defeating the world's most articulate and intelligent human.

CANDIDATES:

FINALLY! The Iowa Caucuses are OVER. And in the long run..... what did it all really show? When the two winners who were separated by only 8 votes each garnered less than 25% of the Republican support, and the third place bozo had somewhere around 21% then how much credence are we expected to put on the outcome of the Iowa Caucuses?

Now we will be subjected to the same dog and pony show in New Hampshire minus the participation of Michelle Bachman.

Also something that gets my backside as red as a three ball is listening to some pollster give us his take on how those who were not among the top three in Iowa should proceed in order to make a serious run.

I must confess that I have been contacted by two separate polls regarding the 2012 elections. One of them is a fairly minor group and I felt that I did not owe them anything since they were bothering me with their foolishness.... so I lied like a Clinton to every single question. I am not completely sure how this particular polling group wanted things to come out but I felt no obligation to tell them the truth.

The second one was one of the major polls so I was somewhat truthful with them. I was truthful in answering questions regarding how this present occupant of the White House was doing in my eyes. I was also truthful regarding my views on the overall political picture. BUT, then, as in all polls these idiots began asking questions regarding race; age; political party; income level; etc. At the end they have me down as a Native American/African American cross..... between the ages of 20 - 30..... a member of the Green Party.......earning over $250,000 annually.... and a few other categories that I do not recall at the moment.

But the point is, I do not need some pollster advising me what to look for in a candidate for whom I will cast my vote.

Now insofar as the Republican Candidates to oppose Barack Hussein Obama: Each and every one of the Republican Candidates in my estimation is an ELITIST. BUT, perhaps it takes an ELITIST to defeat the ARROGANT ELITIST currently holding the office of President of the United States.

I have heard quite enough about needing a "Moderate". I have heard several Conservative people correctly call for a candidate who will forget all this "Moderate" crap and get back to Conservative ideas, which I still believe is the belief system of the majority of the Republicans, particularly the "Tea Party Republicans".

I am not the least bit interested in a candidate who promises to score high in the "Works and Plays Well With Others" area. What we have is a choice of another ELITIST. BUT, I believe that it will take someone, who is just as arrogant and unscrupulous as those other worthless sacks of monkey crap presently in office, to turn things around.

I have heard quite enough of Mitt Romney trying to pass himself off as a Conservative when speaking to certain groups but claiming to be a Moderate when speaking to others.

And I know that many believe that Ron Paul is the answer to the prayers of the Conservatives in this country. If that is what you choose to believe then by all means I urge you to support him.

But in the long run, the real important thing to remember is that we MUST DEFEAT BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA in 2012 or America as we know it will cease to exist in a few years.

I do not particularly like Ron Paul or Mitt Romney. Or for that matter Newt Gingrich, Rick Perry or Rick Santorum. But I will vote for any of those people against Barack Hussein Obama as I believe that with all their faults, our country would be better off with any of them than that incompetent con man we have at present.

BUT WHAT REPUBLICAN VOTERS AND CONSERVATIVE DEMOCRAT VOTERS AND CONSERVATIVE INDEPENDENT VOTERS CANNOT AFFORD TO DO, IS TO STAY HOME IN NOVEMBER OF 2012. WE MUST ALL GO TO THE POLLS AND VOTE AGAINST BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA.

As I said in the first of this letter... I am fed up and thoroughly disgusted.

Earlier today I was watching one of the History Channels and they were showing a program regarding Italy's move toward world power under the guidance of Benito Mussolini. The program pointed out that Mussolini was very popular with the Italian population prior to WW II as he was creating lots of new jobs in public works construction and jobs relating to "INFRASTRUCTURE". (Now, for those of you presently residing in the People's Republic of San Francisco, "Infrastructure" refers to basic installations and facilities, as roads, power plants, transportation and communications systems.) Let's see now...... who has been harping on "Infrastructure Jobs" here of late? Who could it have been? Oh yeas! Now I remember. It was non other than the worlds most intelligent and articulate human but the most incompetent President EVER. None other than Barack Hussein Obama. Why Jim. Surely you are not comparing our President to that worthless turd Benito Mussolini, are you?

Let me think on that for awhile.............. OK, that's long enough. YES!

I am sure that many people have said this, but the original quote is attributed to George Santayana, who said: "Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it." And folks, I believe this with all my heart.

Last week I was watching the "Turner Classic Movie" Channel and was fortunate enough to get the opportunity to watch three movies which all contained great scenes from many old movies. The moves were: "That's Entertainment", "That's Entertainment II" and "That's Entertainment III". Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire were more or less co-hosts of the first two and June Allyson was the hostess of III. There were scenes from all the old classic Hollywood Musicals and there were scenes showing the talents of many, many REAL MOVIE STARS. Watching and listening to these people was entertainment, not the crap they try to pass off today.

There are some really good actors around today with Robert Duval heading the list as far as I'm concerned

And by not watching the Grammys I managed to miss the SEVEN Nominations of Hip-Hop star Kanye West (who also has nailed down a spot on our Varmint List). In the article describing the "Grammy's Nominations" I failed to recognize a single performer (I refuse to use the word artist in referring to these mutts). By some twist of fate I have managed to miss out on performances of: Adele; Bon Iver; Mumford & Sons; Bruno Mars and the Foo Fighters; --- nor did I recognize ever having heard any of these classic tunes: Rolling In The Deep; All Of The Lights; My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy or The Cave.

Unfortunately, these award shows are a pretty accurate commentary on our times.

MASON:

Tomorrow at 12 Noon CST from Dallas, Texas, FOX Sports Southwest will begin televising Texas High School Championship games. The first of them being the MASON PUNCHERS vs. the STAMFORD BULLDOGS. This year's Mason Punchers are undefeated and have a Division 1A high school team which sports a really big and aggressive offensive as well as one of the best running backs in the state in the person of David Mora. Young Mr. Mora, I believe, was the leading rusher in the State of Texas last year.

But the story I want to pass on is not about their undefeated season or the talents of David Mora or the Mason offensive line. Most of the sports stories in the (Sub) Standard Times relate to scores or scoring records or rushing records or passing/receiving records. But this story was about none of those.

The story was about a young man named Jacob Bibb who was a 6-foot-3 inch, 235 pound starting fullback/linebacker for last year's (2010) Mason Puncher football team. After their second game Jacob began feeling sick and the next week his mother took Jacob to Llano to see the doctor. He was referred to a hospital in San Antonio where Jacob was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, a form of cancer that affects white blood cells that fight infections in the body. A dialysis-type procedure was followed by eight months of heavy chemotherapy.

Meanwhile the Mason football season went on and the Mason Punchers made it with Mason winning 12 games and making it to the state quarterfinals. Everyone including Jacob thought his football days were over. But by May, 2010 Jacob began to realize that returning to football for his senior season was possible. And, of course, with 15 returning starters Mason was in everyone's preseason top 10.

Jacob, at the start of the 2011 season, reported for the two-a-day practices but he could not practice in pads for a few weeks. But by the week of their first game, he was back in pads and the coaches could see that he had caught up to where he should be. The following game was against Junction and Jacob was inserted into the game in the second half. He played four plays at linebacker and made two tackles. The crowd erupted and all the kids were excited. Mason's coach said that it was one of the neatest experiences of his coaching career.

Keep in mind that Jacob still has chemo treatments once a month and will continue IV treatments for two more years. He also takes a chemo pill nightly. The article had a quote from this fine young man:

"Of course it's sad that I don't get to play much, but it's such a blessing to be on the sideline with my friends on Friday night. I don't want to be selfish. I want to be there to support my teammates and my friends. That's good enough for me."

When I look at the world and our country and our problems with our elected officials, it does my heart good to hear of a story like that of Jacob Bibb's. It sort of makes any of my personal problems seem pretty minor. And I think there is a great lesson to be learned by us all from the attitude of this young man.

WORLD RECORD:

A couple of days ago, on December 12th, I heard a story on several news reports regarding Michelle Obama taking part in setting a NEW WORLD RECORD.

Prior to the story I was wondering if perhaps she had set a record in "Ass Widening"; or perhaps "Being Married to the Most Arrogant person on earth"; or perhaps some type of "Gardening" record. But I was wr ..... uh mista...... uh in err....., a trifle confused in my thinking. So here is the WORLD RECORD for which she has been given credit..................... A WORLD RECORD FOR LEADING OVER 365,000 PEOPLE IN DOING JUMPING JACKS!!!!!! Boy! What and athlete!

And you people thought that Jim Thorpe; or Jim Brown; or Bo Jackson; or Bob Hayes; or Bob Seagren; or Jesse Owens were great athletes. Little did we know that right here in our midst, today we have a true WORLD RECORD HOLDER For Leading The Most People in Doing Jumping Jacks simultaneously. (For those of you currently residing in the People's Republic of San Francisco, that means, at the same time). A dubious distinction at best.

What really concerns me is: Who is keeping tabs on such foolishness? How was this World Record checked out? Who did the count? Whose World Record was broken?

It is fairly obvious that those who reported this ludicrous happening had me confused with someone who gave a crap.

Let us all hope and pray that in 2012, her husband (The world's most articulate and intelligent human) will set a world record in being defeated by the largest margin EVER.

But in order for this to happen, the Republicans must stop shooting themselves in the foot and all realize that Barack Hussein Obama is not only their enemy but is the enemy of all freedom loving Americans.

LIES:

Now I realize that we are all aware of lies being told every single day by Democrat/Socialist/Progressive/Moderate politicians. Even Republican Mitt Romney in his bid for Governor of Massachusetts proclaimed himself a "Progressive" and a "Moderate". Wonder what he was "Moderate" about?

Anyway, it seems as if the American people have sat back and learned to accept the "Lies" heaped upon them by politicians.

But this past week I was watching, for a brief moment, a statement made by "The world's most articulate and intelligent human". And after I heard it it brought to mind the same basic statement made by California Democrat/Progressive/Socialist Congresswoman Maxine Waters, several months back.

The subject being addressed was the Keystone Pipeline which was to run from Canada to Texas. I have heard several figures regarding how many jobs this project would create and it has ranged from 100,000 to 200,000 new jobs.

BUT, the President of the United States, without batting an eye, said that an "INCREASE IN UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS" would create more jobs than this proposed pipeline. This is basically the same statement I heard Maxine Waters make that if we really wanted to increase jobs then we should increase Unemployment Benefits.

One must seriously wonder just exactly how that would work. And one must wonder just exactly how these two obvious incompetents ever got elected.

It is my understanding that this proposed pipeline would cross the states of Montana; Wyoming; Nebraska; Kansas; Oklahoma; and Texas. And I believe that it has already been shown by the Trans-Alaska pipeline that neither wildlife or the environment have been damaged. It is purely another instance of politicians lying to us.

A former retired Air Force Colonel and former San Angelo Mayor wrote a pretty scathing article in the (Sub) Standard Times in which he tells every member of Congress how disappointed in them he is. I do not know that I necessarily agree with all of his statements in the article but he points out to the members of Congress that their incessant finger-pointing and blaming the other person or the other party is not governing; it is Bull Shit.

And if you listen carefully, each day, the World's Most Intelligent and Articulate Human tells us all that he inherited a real mess and that it was WORSE than he originally thought. One must wonder just how many years he can get away with blaming George Bush. Now I will be the first to admit that I did not agree with George Bush's views on everything, but I agreed with him on a damn sight more than I do this incompetent slug.

Oh, and let us not forget all of the lies being told by Attorney General Eric Holder and John Corzine and those other two stooges who just have no idea where this ONE BILLION + of investor's money disappeared to.

God help us.

I heard this morning on the radio that Time Magazine's Person Of The Year is The Protesters. An excellent move by TIME Magazine if their goal was to decrease their circulation OR their desire to make The Varmint's List.

In last Monday's edition of the (Sub) Standard Times, their lead story was that of the plans of our Federal Government to open an Un-Manned port of entry crossing in the Big Bend National Park. This crossing would be remotely operated by U.S. Agents 100 miles away. One might think that Homeland Security Director Janet Incompetentano perhaps has been attacked and bitten by rabid baboons. But I have heard of no baboon deaths recently so I guess this can just be attributed to her being an incompetent idiot.

Supporters say that the crossing would give residents of the isolated Mexican town of Boquillas del Carmen long-awaited access to U.S. commerce, improve conservation efforts and be an unlikely target for criminal operations. The monitoring of this crossing would be some 100 miles away where the documents of those entering could be scanned remotely. If the crossing is approved, Border Patrol would have eight Agents living in the park in addition to the park's 23 law enforcement rangers. OK why not have the 23 Agents live in the park WITHOUT THE CROSSING?

And for a moment, I was operating under the impression that our borders and security of same was the objective of the Homeland Security Department rather than catering to the long-awaited access to citizens of a remote Mexican village. It would also, according to the article, allow visitors from the U.S. to visit the Mexican town.

This article also indicated that this would slow down the smuggling operations currently in that area as the smugglers would have to be real idiots to try and smuggle stuff into the U.S. at the only place with security in 300 miles. So, I guess that the smuggling operations at Nogales; Laredo; El Paso; Del Rio; and Tijuana have pretty much stopped then?

I went to the doctor today for my semi-annual checkup and had maybe the best report ever. Dressed in gym shorts, T-shirt, sweat pants, and walking shoes I weighed in at 177 pounds of coiled steel. My blood sugar levels were way good as were all of my other blood work reports. My doctor said I was her absolute best patient and that she had never seen anyone recover from bypass and pacemaker surgery any better. So that gives me all the motivation I need to try and keep it up.

This year is almost over and our country is in worse shape now than at this same time last year. One doesn't have to look much further than the Liberal/Progressive/Socialist Democrat Party to find out why. Just this morning I heard White House Press Secretary, Jay Carney make the statement that President Obama spend about 95% of his time tending to the business of the country and about 5% of his time in a campaign mode. Other than being a pure lying varmint, I believe that Jay Carney has a problem with his math skills. He damn sure doesn't understand the concept of percentages. But that seems to be the rule rather than the exception among Liberals/Progressives/Socialists/Democrats.

It seems as if many people are caught up in the denial game (For those of you residing in the People's Republic of San Francisco, this means having to constantly tell the nation that you did not do something, which in all probability you actually did).

Now some of these denials have been necessary in order to correct some statements which might have been either in error OR outright lies. Of course the Crown Prince of Denials for the past couple of months has been Republican Presidential hopeful, Herman Cain. I have no idea whether any of the allegations against Mr. Cain have a shred of truth in them, but I am equally convinced that he has not handled these accusations in the best manner. And I am talking about flatly refuting these accusations. Of course Mr. Cain has also fumbled the ball on any number of occasions in many occasions when answering questions posed to him by obviously hostile media mutts.

Anyway, insofar as Mr. Cain's candidacy, I think you can stick a fork in him because he is done.

I am sure that since Newt Gingrich is surging to the front of the pack that he will have to be on the defensive much more than when he was in the single digits insofar as his popularity among voters. But I will bet you all that Mr. Gingrich will handle his detractors in a much more professional manner than did Mr. Cain or Rick Perry or any of the other myriad Republican candidates.

I am also positive that most of us have been accused of doing something for which we were innocent so I don't place a hell of a lot of credence in accusations which are 10 years old or even back further than that. But that does not mean that these accusations cannot de-rail a person's path toward whatever their goal is.

While on the subject of DENIALS, I watched a recent NFL game between the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions. In that game, a Detroit Defensive Tackle, NDAMUKONG SUH, after a play as he was getting up stomped on the arm of a Green Bay player who was lying on the ground. For his infraction, SUH was ejected from the game and has since been fined and suspended for two games. But what I found interesting was that after the game when SUH was asked about the incident, he completely denied it.... and while he was denying it, the video re-play of him stomping the other player was shown to the millions of viewers. SUH continued to deny stomping the other player. I guess SUH was asking us if we were going to believe him, or our lying eyes.

Anyway, I am not sure that his punishment was harsh enough. With SUH denying doing the act as we were watching it time-and-time again on video re-play I began to think of some other pretty classical denials.

And there are others too numerous to mention, but NDAMUKONG SUH sort of reminds me of Mike Tyson with cleats. They were both very talented athletes but had a bit of a control problem..... well a control problem and a problem with the truth.

RETIREMENT:

I know that a whole bunch of you are retired just as I am. And I am sure that life as we know it proceeded on for society as a whole, even after we all retired. I am also positive that most of us think that our retirement left a hole in each of our particular organizations and in many cases it probably did. I am also sure that if each of us were competent in our individual professions that on occasion, someone whom was still with our organization would occasionally ask us our opinion on some things. And I am sure that it made all of us feel pretty good to know that perhaps each of us were missed by a number of people.

But this week there was a retirement announced which can ONLY have a POSITIVE EFFECT ON EVERYBODY in our country. How can this be, you ask? Easy. The person who announced his retirement this week was Massachusetts Democrat/Liberal/Progressive/Socialist Congressman BARNEY FRANK. I am sure that there might be a few misguided souls on this planet who might be sorry to see BARNEY FRANK go... but I ain't one of 'em. And I strongly imagine that the United States Military are all secretly doing a "Snoopy Dance" to commemorate the absence of this turd from the United States Congress. And I suppose that I should apologize to all turds for including this sorry excuse for a human being in their category.

It should be noted that Barney Frank is the 17th Democrat/Progressive/Socialist Congressman to announce that he will not seek re-election. Isn't it funny how, after re-districting, the Congressional Districts just how many Democrat/Progressive/Socialist vermin have decided to retire? Since he is only retiring and not leaving the U.S. to take up residence in Elbonia, Barney Frank will remain on the Varmint's List. What a MUTT.

ENDANGERED:

This past week I have been caught up in the excitement of an announcement in the (Sub) Standard Times that the CONCHO WATER SNAKE has been REMOVED from the Federal List of Threatened and Endangered Wildlife. As the (Sub) Standard Times reported; "A victory for the community." Here are a few facts regarding this now Unendangered Species:

CONCHO WATER SNAKE - Nerodia paucimaculata

Active - March through October

Natural Predators Include - Kingsnakes, coachwhips, raccoons, herons, hawks, owls

Size - Up to three feet in length

Diet - Minnow, mosquitofish, channel and flathead catfish, gizzard shad, sunfish

Habitat - Free-flowing streams over rocks and shallow riffles; uses rock debris and crevices for cover

Life Span - Four to five years

OK. Now you all have the particulars on the CONCHO WATER SNAKE. This snake was put on the Endangered List in 1986. A 1984 population study estimated its numbers were between 330 and 600.

Also according to the article a study costing taxpayers approximately $3,000,000 was conducted. But according to a man named John Grand who is the general manager of the Colorado River Municipal Water District, the population studies at the time were not accurate and the snake should not have been placed on the list. He said that in order for a permit to be issued to build the O.H. Ivie Reservoir, the district had to agree to things it didn't want to agree to. He further stated that all the work done to provide a positive habitat for this reptile was absolutely unnecessary. The article also pointed out that the "Studies" done on the snake, which is NOCTURNAL(for those of you living in the Freedom Loving Worker's Province of Massachusetts, that means that it is active mainly at night time) were conducted in the daytime rather than at night when the snake is most active. Another great job done by our Federal Government.

Anyway, this particular snake has been removed from the Endangered Species List...... but I must warn you that should one of these little critters show its head near my residence, it is still in grave danger as my wife believes that ALL SNAKES are Black Mambas intent on the death of as many humans as possible. Once while living in New Mexico I heard my wife scream as she was working in a flower bed in front of our home. I ran out of the house and she immediately pointed out a dead snake ..... well at least small pieces of a dead snake.... which she had killed upon sight. She asked me what kind of snake it was. Had there been a piece large enough to get a DNA sample I might have been able to tell her but this beast was in tiny unidentifiable pieces.

Anyway, just because something has been removed from the Endangered Species List doesn't necessarily mean that it is not in grave jeopardy in certain locations.

I realize that only $3,000,000 was spent on a useless study but this should show us all just how out of hand federal spending has become.

I was reading the editorial page in the (Sub) Standard Times and noticed an article written by super liberal columnist Ann McFeatters. This article was basically an article bashing Newt Gingrich and Republicans in general and while engrossed in bashing Newt Gingrich, Ms. McFeatters found it necessary to bring out this damning fact on Newt Gingrich:

"His current campaign for president stumbled when we found out he had a line of credit for over a million dollars at Tiffany's, the posh New York jewelry store."

If this is a sample of investigative reporting then this heifer needs a swift kick in the backside to shake her brains up. Just what in the Hell does it matter if Newt Gingrich has a million dollar line of credit at Tiffany's; or Field and Stream Sporting Goods; or Wal-Mart; or Tractor Supply; or Sears; or Victoria's Secret; or Mom's Bar-B-Que? If this is the best the Liberals/Progressives/Socialists can do then we are on the road to victory in 2012.

We had a great Thanksgiving with one of our former S. Korean houseguests flying in to San Angelo from Maryville, Missouri to spend the Thanksgiving Holiday with us. She is attending college this year at Northwest Missouri . We had a great visit and she had not changed a bit from the wonderful girl we knew a couple of years back. She and my wife were in full shopping mode, and if you can keep up with my wife, you are a true professional shopper. Of course my wife can spot a sale a couple of time zones away and it always makes me happy to see what bargains she has found. She very seldom buys anything for herself but gets practical stuff for our daughter; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. I get outdoor and hunting stuff for the boys. As I have always heard:

You can never have too many firearms

You can never have too many knives

You can never have too much fishing tackle

You can never have too many ice chests

You can never have too much camo.

If you follow those simple rules, you can always please male family members.

I got off three boxes of cool stuff to a group of Marines stationed in Afghanistan. This is the first stuff I have sent to this particular group.

If the weather doesn't turn out too bad this Friday, some of us have a trip planned to go to Tuscola, Texas and watch a double header semi-final championship game for the Division II Six Man Championship. The finals will be the following week in Abilene and we have a trip planned for that also. Tuscola is South of Abilene and is the home of Jim Ned High School which is the AA high school where former Texas Quarterback and present Cleveland Browns Quarterback Colt McCoy played his high school ball.

Even in the fog of war, Pakistan’s disloyalty emerges.

What Happened in Pakistan?

We do not know what really happened in the border incident that resulted in the deaths of 24 Pakistani troops this weekend. We do not even know the nationality of the NATO forces and aircraft that are said to have engaged the Pakistanis. But unlike the frenzied, bigoted, politically primitive crowds burning American flags in the streets of Pakistan, we should not jump to conclusions.

Contrary to the more hysterical statements coming out of Pakistan, it is extremely unlikely that, without provocation, NATO forces attacked Pakistani positions on the other side of the border in order to humiliate Pakistan.

The Pakistani military and civilian authorities apparently believe otherwise. But then, paranoia laced with bizarre assumptions about the motivations of Pakistan’s “enemies” is arguably the default setting for Pakistan’s rulers. (Hence the national obsession with invasion and encirclement by India, even though it is Pakistan that has invaded its neighbor four times, cultivated military alliances with China and Burma, and sponsored terrorist attacks like the Bombay incident of 2008.)

This said, there are three genuine possibilities. Given that a combined NATO/Afghan force would not have called in an air strike unless it was coming under fire, those possibilities are that:

NATO troops being fired on from the border zone called the strikes onto the wrong coordinates, or the aircraft struck at the wrong targets, hitting innocent Pakistani army garrisons rather than the Taliban force that had fired on the coalition forces.

NATO troops called strikes onto the correct coordinates after Afghan Taliban forces had fired at coalition/NATO forces from positions close to or within Pakistani military outposts with or without the permission of Pakistani military units deployed there. Taliban forces have done this many times in the past, presumably hoping this proximity to Pakistani military facilities would protect them from return fire, or provoke an incident.

The NATO and Afghan troops were responding to deliberate hostile fire from Pakistani forces and replied in kind. There have been many such unprovoked attacks by Pakistani forces in the past few years, though the U.S. and NATO have kept quiet about them. They have also enjoined their forces not to return fire in order to protect relations with Islamabad. It is not clear why on this occasion the allied troops decided on a more robust response.

The third scenario is the most troubling, but it is far from unlikely that elements in the Pakistani military are deliberately escalating tensions on the border. Pakistan’s armed forces are apparently convulsed by anti-American fury. This has reached such an intensity that Indian analysts fear that mid-ranking officers may attempt a coup against an army command and a civilian leadership that is seen as too accommodating to the United States.

From an American perspective this seems strange. After all, the Pakistani military has for many years gotten away with a variety of anti-American and anti-coalition activities on the frontier and in Afghanistan. These include the renewed sponsorship of the Afghan Taliban beginning in 2005, the alleged harboring of Mullah Omar in Quetta, the use of the Haqqani network to carry out anti-government and anti-coalition terrorist attacks in Afghanistan, and efforts to control its side of the border that are at best half-hearted.

Nevertheless, the “humiliation” of the Osama bin Laden raid (the Pakistani military seems not the least embarrassed, let alone humiliated, by the presence of the al-Qaeda leader in Abbottabad) seems to have intensified the sense that Pakistani “honor” requires more — and more overt — military action against the U.S. and its allies in Afghanistan.

This puts the U.S.-led coalition and U.S. policymakers in a very difficult position. The only way to deter Pakistani or Pakistani-sponsored attacks on Afghan and NATO forces may be to respond forcefully. But as long as Pakistan controls the key supply routes to Kabul, the U.S. and her allies are limited in their options. The fact that what may genuinely have been an accident provoked the closure of those routes makes this all too clear.

On the other hand, it might make sense for Secretary Clinton to point out to Islamabad that America will not always be vulnerable to this kind of leverage and that the American people are becoming as skeptical about the Pakistani-American alliance as the anti-American crowds in Pakistan. After the U.S. has drawn down its forces in Afghanistan, America may no longer feel obligated to support Pakistan economically and militarily, nor will it be so restrained if its forces in the region are attacked by Pakistan or its proxies. Finally, Pakistan should understand that the price to be paid for humiliating America in Afghanistan could be a fundamental shift in American regional strategy in favor of India — a move that would dramatically shift the strategic balance of power.

(4) JURIES /OCCUPY/ PLAYOFFS/ THANKSGIVING - 11/23/11

Greetings once again from the West Texas Headquarters For The Vast Right Wing Conspiracy And Promoters Of Jingoistic Draconian Behavior.

JURIES:

This week in the (Sub) Standard Times I read of a trial which just ended in a Tom Green County District Court. The crime committed had been an Aggravated Armed Robbery in which a lady who lives in a small community South of San Angelo had come home and was met by a single defendant who was dressed in black clothing and the victim never saw his face but did hear his voice and see the color of his hair. Days later the defendant was arrested with dark clothing inside his truck ( which matched that of the home robber) as well as having hair the same color as that of the robber and had a voice like that of the robber. The defendant also had recovered from his truck several silver dollars and silver dollars had been stolen in the robbery. Additionally there were shoes recovered in the truck which matched shoe prints at the crime scene. The robber threatened to rape the victim and threatened her with a knife and locked her in a cabinet before leaving her house. Also a close friend of the defendant testified that the defendant had confessed to him of doing the robbery.

But the jury found the defendant Not Guilty as the defendant's DNA was not present on the clothing found in possession of the defendant in his truck.

I have not spoken with any of the jurors nor have I spoken to the victim but I would like to point out that real life crime and real life investigative work and real life situations have very little similarities with CSI Miami or any of the other myriad of Crime Scene Investigation TV Shows. And while DNA evidence is excellent proof, no matter what the television programs try to make you believe, DNA IS NOT NECESSARILY FOUND AT EVERY CRIME SCENE. Jurors and the American Public need to remember that those TV Shows ARE NOT ALL BASED UPON REALITY.

OCCUPY:

We have all heard and seen TV News Programs regarding the idiots participating in the Occupy Wall Street and Occupy Oakland and Occupy San Francisco but a couple of days ago I heard a local news report which told of an "Occupy San Angelo" movement and demonstration at the Federal Building and the Tom Green County Courthouse.

Any similarities between those other "Occupy" movements ended with the "Occupy" name. The local news report said that 12; yes XII; or for those of you residing in The People's Republic of San Francisco that is TWELVE or SIX plus SIX; or SIX times TWO; or FOUR times THREE; or TWENTY FOUR DIVIDED BY TWO.................. TWELVE...... demonstrators showed up for this "Protest".

For some strange reason, I cannot get overly concerned about 12 people gathering and actually peacefully demonstrating as opposed to those unwashed mutts in New York, Oakland, and the rest of the "Occupy" demonstration spots.

BUT, let us all over react to the Campus Officer who sprayed the idiot demonstrators at one of the California Universities. I don't know how may of you have ever been sprayed with actual pepper spray but I can assure you that you would not sit mildly by with arms linked with other idiots who had just been sprayed with full strength pepper spray.

Almost every police officer who has ever carried pepper spray has had to also received a good spraying in their training in the use of the spray. I can speak from first hand knowledge that it is most uncomfortable.

Of course the media was trying to make this into a "Police Brutality" case. Let me point out to those media mutts that while the pepper spray is most uncomfortable, there is nothing harmful to humans in the spray itself. EVERY INGREDIENT can be consumed by humans with no harmful effects. PEPPER SPRAY IS A MIXTURE OF FOOD PRODUCTS.

PLAYOFFS:

This is my favorite time of the year. Texas High School Football Playoffs are in full swing. The San Angelo Central Bobcats (Class 5A)won their first round playoff game but lost the second. Nearby Wall High School (Class 2A) also won their first round playoff game. Nearby Water Valley ( 6 - Man) won their first playoff game. Central lost their second round game and Wall will play their second round game this coming week end.

But last Friday night a friend and I went to the small town of Blackwell, Texas where the Water Valley Wildcats played the Ira Bulldogs. We were told prior to the game that Ira was very small but extremely fast. Extremely fast was a mild understatement. They were ALL "Very fast" and appeared to enjoy contact. Ira had a Junior running back, young Mr. Lance Morris, who also was an absolute killer on defense and was an excellent kick return specialist. This young Junior running back/linebacker took the opening kickoff in the end zone and returned it for a touchdown. He ended up with something like 270 rushing yards; threw one touchdown pass; and was an assassin on defense. I doubt if he weighed in at 150 pounds. He was sure fun to watch and I am sure that his clocked speed would have been somewhere around 186,282 Miles Per Second... (For those of you sentenced to the Freedom Loving Worker's Province of Austin... that is LIGHT SPEED. Some friends and I are planning on attending the Six Man State Championship double header games (Division I and Division II) which will be played in Abilene, Texas in three weeks. I should not be at all surprised to see young Mr. Morris again.

NFL is for the most part a bunch of whiners. College Football is better but getting way to involved in the money game. High School football is the absolute best.

THANKSGIVING:

We have a real treat this Thanksgiving. About two years ago my wife and I had the pleasure of hosting a young lady from Ulsan, South Korea in our home while she attended an accelerated English class at Angelo State University. We have kept in touch with this beautiful young lady. She returned to the United States last fall to attend a University in Missouri for one year. She contacted us and wanted to fly to San Angelo to spend the Thanksgiving Holiday with us. She arrived last evening and is still the same sweet young lady as we remembered. We have hosted several other South Korean students who have attended our University here in San Angelo. These are some really marvelous young people who are so very polite that they remind me of American kids back in the 1950's. They are also very intelligent and have a work ethic like young Americans had in years past. Anyway my wife and I were very happy to have this marvelous young lady as our guest over the Thanksgiving Holiday.

After the tough year I have had with multiple surgeries and rehabilitation from same, I really stopped to think of how really fortunate I am and how much I have to be thankful for this year. Of course there is my family. There are our friends, many of whom I have never seen in the flesh but only have been able to communicate with them via computer.

Just this past week in the regular mail I have received some printed material from a retired NYPD Sergeant whom I have never seen but still feel like I know pretty well. I also received an autographed copy of a book entitled "Live Bait" which was written by Dr. Clayton Kelly Gross, who is a regular recipient of my weekly letter. Dr. Gross flew 105 Combat Missions in World War II and became an ACE in that war. I have started the book and have it in one room and I have the second novel written by my good friend and Ex-Partner on the Houston PD, Jim Jenkins in my bedroom to read in the evenings. As you all might have guessed, I love to read and am blessed to have several friends, old and new, who are authors. So my thanks go out to all of them as well as retired NYPD Sergeant Tony Schiozzi who keeps me supplied with some really great NYPD publications.

I have been blessed with a wonderful wife; a wonderful daughter; five super grandchildren; and four (so far) great grandchildren. I have also been fortunate to have a whole host of wonderful personal friends and was lucky enough to work 45 years at a job I really loved. It just don't get much better than that.

So to all of you, HAPPY THANKSGIVING. My God continue to bless all of you.

A couple of days back I was watching a news clip of Michelle Obama speaking before a group (I did not get the name of the group) with the world's most articulate and intelligent human standing at her side. I was subjected to this unelected squack telling the group how much she respected the members of the U.S. Military and their families. For some reason, I never had the feeling that she was all that pleased with our men and women who are now or have served in our military. Could it be that Michelle was not being entirely truthful?

I have heard pretty close to enough about Penn State and now Syracuse. It seems to me as if these stories are the driving force behind all the problems facing our country. It also seems to me as if the media love reporting that the jobless rate is declining BUT they are not nearly so happy to report that most of those initial figures are almost always adjusted to give us a more realistic view. The media seem to be absent when those figures are made public.

Isn't it sort of funny every week when all the "EXPERTS" in the form of former NFL Players and NFL Coaches all tell us that Tim Tebow just doesn't appear to have the skills to make it as an NFL quarterback? Then the next thing you know, Denver has won another game against a favored team with Tebow bringing the Broncos from behind to win another one. Listening to those NFL Experts is sort of like listening to Alan Colmes and expecting something like the truth to suddenly emerge.

I don't know whether or not Tim Tebow will ever win an NFL Championship.... but then again, neither did Hall of Fame Quarterback Dan Marino. Tebow might win ugly but he wins.

I am sort of reminded back in the 1960's when Darryl Royal was the coach at the University of Texas. His teams were winning every week and some boob sports reporter interviewed Coach Royal and inferred that while Texas was winning, their offense wasn't "Very Exciting". Coach Royal countered by saying, "If I could win by running 50 Quarterback Sneaks a game, that is just how exciting I would get." The reporter had no more to say.

But I think Tim Tebow is a pretty good young man and has way more character than many of the other NFL superstars.

He threatened to not pay:

He did not threaten to stop payments to illegal aliens.

He did not threaten to take frivolous benefits such as Internet access away from violent inmates.

He did not offer to fire some of the thousands of unnecessary federal employees that he hired .

He did not offer to cut down on his or his wife's frivolous gallivanting around the country and the world.

He did not threaten to not pay the senators and representatives or any of their staff.

He did not threaten to take benefits away from welfare recipients.

He did not threaten the food stamp programs.

He did not threaten to not pay foreign aid.

He did not threaten to cut back on anything that involves his base of voters.

The list could go on and on. He is in full political re-election mode!

Why are we allowing this person to destroy this wonderful country with his selfishness and lies?

Why Islam is NOT Protected Under the US Constitution!

Contrary to conventional stupidity, Islam is NOT
protected under the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America. Is there anyone left in the three branches of government today that can interpret our most sacred document (the Declaration of Independence not withstanding) correctly?

Like in Christendom, where the exegesis and hermeneutics of certain
passages of scripture are often skewed to conform to a particular
ideology, agenda, or belief system, so too has the clear and concise
language of the Constitution and the 27 Amendments progressively
undergone exegetical attacks over the decades—depending on which party
is in power—to conform to a particular political ideology.

But this is one hermeneutical battle America can ill afford to lose. Our founding

principles, i.e. Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness hang in the balance. In short

—our country’s very survival depends on it.

America faces a grave threat from Islam. Muslims are infiltrating our
country in droves and they’re doing it under the guise of
“Constitutional Protection.” And like England, if we don’t stand our
ground now, it will be too late. Muslims are cunning, crafty and clever.
They’re using our ignorance of the understanding of our own
Constitution against us, and they are clandestinely and methodically
spreading their freedom-snatching tentacles in a quiet and unassuming
manner.

Federal, state, and local governments on the other hand won’t
acknowledge the imminent threat. They incorrectly claim that Muslims
have “Constitutional Rights” to come here, proselytize people, build
mosques, and implement Shariah Law in their communities and in the
public square. They’re dead wrong! And by and large, Islam is getting
away with it just like they have in Europe. Only unlike in Europe and
Great Britain in particular, where many local non-Muslim citizens now
live in perpetual fear and oppression, it’s not too late to stem the
tide, but we have to act now. Time is not on our side. In fact, this may
come as a shock, but there are more mosques being built on American
soil than Christian churches. We are already well under way to being
Islamized.

To understand Islam is to understand Sharia. The religion of
Islam is nothing short of a totalitarian political, economic, military,
social and legal system that’s camouflaged in religious garb. Their mandate

(not objective) is to incorporate our country into a global Islamic caliphate.

Sadly, they are making serious inroads towards their tyrannical
mandate because America is asleep at the wheel. We are all that stands
between freedom and a worldwide Islamic caliphate. The United States of
America is the world’s last bastion of hope.

Yet, the dreadful message we get from ignorant and incompetent
lawmakers is that our Constitution renders us powerless to do anything
about it. On the contrary, the Constitution and Declaration of
Independence—properly interpreted—actually give our federal, state and
local governments justification and authority to stop Islam dead in its
tracks!

Here’s How . . .

Islam is NOT a religion. Islam—which stands for “submission” or “surrender”—

is a totalitarian form of government that seeks COMPLETE DOMINANCE.
It is hellbent on controlling every aspect of the lives of its
adherents—a primitive life at that. It masquerades as a monotheistic
religion rooted in Old Testament principles, but more appropriately
follows the murderous thuggery of it’s founder, Muhammad, a descendent
of Ishmael, born 600 years after Christ. Only their modern day tactics
now include recruiting mentally ill teenagers and naive and gullible
idiots who falsely believe they will be rewarded with 75 virgins if they
become suicide bombers. And Western countries indoctrinated with the
lies of multiculturalism and political correctness—to their demise—have
reluctantly turned a blind eye. But like Communism, Marxism and
Socialism, the Constitution of the United States of America empowers us to defeat it.

As lawyer, philosopher and Constitutional constructionist, Publius Huldah,

succinctly points out in her paper, “God’s Gift of Unalienable Rights & Article VI

of the Constitution: The Sword & Shield to Stop the Islamization of America, “We must
understand Our Founding Principles – these are our Sword & Shield –
that (1) Rights come from God alone, (2) Muslims do not have the right
to divest us of our Rights, and (3) the purpose of civil government is
to secure the Rights God gave us.”

What are our Rights, and where do they come from? The Constitution?
The Bill of Rights? No! The Declaration of Independence says:

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that

they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights,
that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. —that
to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men . . .”

So, where do our Rights come from? God. And what are those Rights?

Life , Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.

Inscribed on the Liberty Bell is Leviticus 25:10 - “Proclaim LIBERTY

throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof.”

Do Muslims respect the Rights God gave us? Of course not! Sharia stands

in stark contrast to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.

Here’s why . . .

1. Life: Islam is a culture of oppression and
death, e.g., primitive and oppressive regulations for women, murder and
honor killings. The Koran instructs its adherents under no uncertain
terms to torture and kill non-believers as set out in Sura 4:56, 4:89,
and 9:5 for example.

2. Liberty: Islam is a culture of slavery and
submission. Women are forced to cover their faces and frequently raped
with no recourse. Children are often molested, and defection and
conversion to another belief system often ends in brutal death.

3. Pursuit of Happiness: Does living in fear for a
lot of Muslim women sound like the pursuit of happiness? Or being told
when to pray, how to pray, and how many times to pray per day? For many
Muslims, Islam is a culture of torture and sadism. How many times have
we already heard of young Muslim girls in America who, after dating
non-Muslim boys, were shot to death or run over by their father for
allegedly bringing shame to their family? Public wife beating is
commonplace. Women who don’t cover their hair are beaten on the spot.
They’re often gang raped (needing multiple witnesses to testify against
their male aggressors), mutilated, and left with maimed faces.

4. Freedom of Speech: Try criticizing Islam in
Saudi Arabia—one of our Arab allies. See how swiftly justice is met with
your head as the ornament of of an Opec member’s Mercedes.

For every Right God gave us—not the Constitution or its

Amendments—the Muslims seek to eradicate.

Lawmakers tell us Muslims have a First Amendment “Right” to build
mosques, proselytize, and implement Sharia here. But that’s not what the
First Amendment says.

It says . . .

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment
of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the
freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably
to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of
grievances.”

Now consider the verbiage very carefully. A lot of lawmakers and most
Americans make the exegetical error that the First Amendment grants us
rights. The First Amendment doesn’t grant any rights to anybody. All it
does is prohibit Congress from making laws about religion, speech, the
press, or assembly.

Therefore, Muslims do not have a First Amendment “Right” to build mosques,

proselytize, and implement Sharia in our country. As Publius Huldah correctly

points out, “Not only do Muslims claim the “right” to impose
Shariah in the Muslim communities springing up throughout our Country,
they also claim the “right” to impose Sharia law in the public square:
They demand Sharia compliant financial institutions, foot baths in
public places, that wine, sausages, and the like be banned from their
presence, that they be allowed to shut down public streets for
“prayers”, etc.”

So it begs the question: Do Americans have any Constitutional
protection against the invasion of a foreign law being foisted upon us?
Absolutely!

Article VI, Clause 2 of our Constitution states . . .

“This Constitution, and the laws of the United States
which shall be made in pursuance thereof; and all treaties made, or
which shall be made, under the authority of the United States, shall be
the Supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every state
shall be bound thereby, anything in the Constitution or laws of any
state to the contrary notwithstanding.”

Did you get that? Our Constitution and Laws are authorized by the Supreme Law of this Land.

The practice of Sharia in the United States, at any level directly violates our Constitution. Muslims who therefore seek to overthrow our Constitution or otherwise usurp or circumvent it with Sharia law are guilty of Criminal Sedition. The federal government has the duty to prosecute them for sedition, or otherwise repatriate or deport them.

However, as evidenced in a ruling by a New Jersey judge last year which

was later overturned by the New Jersey Appellate Court, and more recently

a Tampa judge thanks to the growing influence of CAIR (Council on American

Islamic Relations)—a pro-Sharia lobbyist—the very opposite is happening.

In November, 2010, an overwhelming majority of Oklahomans voted to
amend their State Constitution to ban Sharia law and international law
from the state’s courtrooms.

But a federal judge overturnedthe will of the people within weeks,

claiming that such an exclusion of Sharia law interfered with the religious

liberties of Muslims. Now, legislators in Wyoming, Missouri, Alabama,

Florida and Texas are considering adopting a similar Constitutional

Amendment to that of Oklahoma’s.

Brigitte Gabriel, founder of Act! for America,
an advocacy group established “to promote America’s national security
and the defense of American democratic values against the assault of
radical Islam,” emphasizes that voters must establish that the U.S.
Constitution is the controlling law of the land. “We are trying to warn
Americans to look at what’s happening in Europe. If Europe is any
preview, we need to make sure we put up the barriers right now,” she
stresses.

The Declaration of Independence says the purpose of civil government
is to secure the Rights God gave us. Islam seeks to take away our
God-given Rights. Civil government is supposed to protect us from
enemies, foreign and domestic, who seek to divest us of our Rights.

Therefore it’s incumbent on every American citizen to insist that our
federal, state, and local governments immediately STOP the Islamization
of OUR COUNTRY—starting with an immediate cease and desist on the
construction of all mosques! The purpose of our civil government is to
protect our GOD-given Rights, not circumvent them in favor of an Islamic
caliphate.

Contrary to revisionist historians and secular progressive’s claims,
the United States of America was founded on Christian principles. Jesus
Christ is recognized not only as the Supreme Being of The Declaration of
Independence, but also as the God of Article VII of our Constitution. .

“Done in Convention by the Unanimous Consent of the States present the

Seventeenth Day of September in the Year of Our Lord One Thousand Seven

Hundred and Eighty Seven . . . “

In Summary:

1. Our Rights come from God. They predate and
preexist the Constitution. Our Constitution doesn’t give “Rights” to
anybody. So Muslims don’t have “Constitutional Rights” to come to our
Christian established country and build mosques, proselytize, and impose
Shariah.

2. Islam and Sharia seeks to take away from people
the rights God gave them. Since our Declaration of Independence
acknowledges that the purpose of civil governments is to secure our
God-given Rights, it is the duty and responsibility of civil governments
at all levels to protect us from Islamization.

3. Article VI, Clause 2 of the U.S.
Constitution—the “Supremacy Clause”—is the silver bullet that makes it
unconstitutional for Muslims to practice Sharia Law anywhere in our
Country.

To speak against First Amendment protection of an Islamic theocracy
that is antithetical to the underlying principles of the US
Constitution—Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness—does not make
one a prejudiced bigot or racist. Most Muslims, like Christians, are
moderate law abiding citizens. However, the percentage who follow the
literal commands of the Koran (the militant and radical muslims) and
because of the 2 to 1 worldwide population growth of Muslims, the jihadist

terrorists are multiplying at an alarming rate.

Let me be perfectly clear. Traditional Islam is not a friend of
America. It is our enemy. The very notion of “Chrislam”—a syncretistic
fusion of Christianity and Islam—being promoted by such notable
Christian celebrities as Rick Warren, author of the best selling book, The Purpose Driven Life,
is an abomination. It’s anti-American, and antithetical to the
Christian principles upon which our great nation was founded. It is
imperative that you understand the inherent danger of multiculturalism,
and the amalgamation of polarizing religions. It eventually leads to
civil unrest and anarchy.

Most, but not all of our State Senators and Congressmen are
completely oblivious to the imminent threat that Islam and Sharia pose
to the sovereignty of our nation. It’s imperative that they get informed
very quickly and embrace the fight to stop the spread of mosques and
Sharia at the local level. The Center for Security Policy issued a
report last year entitled: “Shariah: The Threat to America”.

Demand that your local and state reps read it and take immediate action
to defend your community from Islamization. A few proactive notables
who do recognize it are representatives Rex Duncan, Don Wells, and Larry
Metz of Oklahoma, Missouri, and Florida, respectively.

it, especially in England, without a civil and very bloody religious

All of these idiot "Occupier" types constantly are reminding us that they are part of the 99%. For a while I was in violent disagreement with these worthless slugs, but now I have come to realize that they actually do represent the 99% of the people of whom they lay claim. The only problem is that they represent 99% of the worthless; liberal; whining; overeducated; candy ass; socialists who are a product of a public education system which needs to be seriously re-constructed.

You are in big trouble when even liberal mayors are jumping off your bandwagon.

But please spare us the lie that you represent 99% of the American people. And I have this suggestion for all of you who are involved in this idiotic crusade. Instead of pulling this crap in N.Y. City and Oakland and other centers of liberal government, why don't you try this crap in Abilene, Texas or perhaps Lubbock, Texas, or if you feel really lucky, give New Braunfels, Texas a shot. I strongly imagine that your sporting blood would turn to weak urine if you did that.

PENN STATE:

I would imagine that most of you have heard about enough of the Penn State saga of former coach Jerry Sandusky and his child sexual molestation escapades. I was almost ready to withhold judgment until after his trial BUT after listening to his telephone interview with Bob Costas, I have come to the conclusion that this mutt is guilty as charged.

When Costas asked Sandusky, "Are you sexually attracted to children?" Sandusky fumbled around for an answer and said that he did like young people and for about 20 seconds he mumbled and fumbled and finally said that he was not attracted to them sexually. Wouldn't a completely innocent person have just said NO?

Then there is the subject of Penn State firing longtime head football coach, Joe Paterno. Of course the media mutts including most of the FOX News boobs like Shepard Smith as well as the ESPN idiots refuse to call him anything but "JOE PA. What is with that crap? Is he a N.Y Yankee infielder like A ROD? Or is he a rock icon like J LO? As a matter of fact, why do they call these people by those names in the first place? It is just more modern day laziness insofar as speaking the English language correctly.

Anyway, Joe Paterno did not handle his end of the deal in the manner which he should have. Nor, evidently, did the assistant coach who allegedly saw Sandusky molesting the young boy in the shower. But the real fault lies in the liberal, whining system which now exists, not only at Penn State, but at other universities, high schools, middle schools, and elementary schools. And that is that no one is expected to take the responsibility of contacting the proper enforcement agency. No, they are to contact their immediate supervisor and then their immediate supervisor will contact their immediate supervisor and finally someone at the top will eventually perhaps contact an investigative agency who by that time have had way too much time expire prior to the initial investigation.

Doing the right thing has become unacceptable. But when you look at how government has become so corrupt, then it is pretty easy to see why other public entities have fallen into line.

AH, but please don't worry. This morning I was listening to a news program when they were interviewing a Congressman, whose name I did not manage to get. This mutt said that there was a move afoot to pass FEDERAL LEGISLATION which would REQUIRE EVERY STATE to pass a law stating:

1) All suspected child abuse MUST be reported to the proper law enforcement agency by the person who became first aware of same.

2) Failure to report such suspected child abuse would result in jail time for the offending party.

3) Any state NOT passing such legislation WOULD NOT BE ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE ANY FEDERAL FUNDS.

So once again we have our incompetent federal government injecting themselves in state affairs. Now don't get me wrong. I support a law requiring people to report child abuse BUT I do not support the federal government getting involved in state affairs.

And I do know that in most of the states, such a law already is in place. I also know that there is a hell of a lot of difference in real child abuse and in some of the crap being passed off as child abuse. I have been involved in many alleged "Child Abuse" investigations and have found that quite a few of them are the figment of the imagination. I have seen public school officials call the police because they see bruises on a child's leg. Forget the fact that the child seems really well adjusted and well fed and shows know signs of emotional stress. And of course forget the fact that young boys and girls who are allowed to actually play outside are subject to bruises and scrapes on their legs and arms. Forget the fact that 5 and 7 year old boys will push their bicycles up the side of a mountain and come down at full speed on terrain which would scare a mountain goat to death. Forget that little boys will climb trees and on occasion slip down and scrape themselves.

Real child abuse is a serious matter. Kids being kids is not. Let us not go too far in the name of protecting children or pretty soon allowing a child to fall down will be viewed as abuse by the parents. Corporal punishment already is.

But I have heard enough about Penn State and Jerry Sandusky and JOE PA and A ROD and J LO and all the rest. Let the courts handle this matter. My final word on the matter is this: Either Jerry Sandusky OR Jerry Sandusky's Attorney OR perhaps both of them must have the collective I.Q. of a School Zone Speed Limit Sign. I make this somewhat opinionated statement as I do not understand EITHER of them going for an interview with any member of the media.

COMMITTEE:

Have we all heard just about enough about the SUPER COMMITTEE? This band of collective incompetents (Six Republicans and Six Democrats/Liberals/Socialists) were supposed to meet and by Thanksgiving come up with a BI-PARTISAN plan which would trim something like 1.3 TRILLION dollars from the federal budget over a 10 year period. Good luck with that. What a good many people (Most of them Democrats/Progressives/Moderates/Socialists) don't seem to understand is that this SUPER COMMITTEE was formed to FAIL. This will give the world's most articulate and intelligent human the chance to BLAME CONGRESS for not passing a bill due to stonewalling tactics by Republicans, which will help him in his bid for re-election. All you have to do is look at some of the people on this committee and you should realize that not many of them are really interested in getting the job done. All they are interested in is feathering their own nest.

If they continue to take this attitude, 2012 will once again be handed to Obama.

In today's edition of the (Sub) Standard Times I noticed a photo on the editorial page showing a Wall Street Occupy Protestor standing nose to nose with a uniform Police Officer. The Protestor was screaming angrily in the face of the Officer. I could not help but to reflect on how times have changed, and not necessarily for the better. Then a thought crossed my mind as to what would have happened back in, shall we say about 1965 or so, in Houston should a Protestor have been so rude as to stand in front of a Houston Police Officer and scream in a like manner? Then I tried to think; What if this Officer in 1967 had been Joe Dugger?

Joe Dugger is an old friend who passed away several years ago after battling cancer. After Joe Retired he worked for the Houston Oilers and later the Tennessee Titans. When I watch old NFL Films I always look for Joe on the sidelines and fortunately get a glimpse of him pretty often. At Joe's funeral, lots of present and past NFL greats were in attendance. Former Coach "Bum" Phillips spoke at the service.

Anyway, Joe Dugger was quite a guy and back in his younger days was pretty quick to come out with a "Slapper" which was the primary "Non-Lethal" force used at the time. I always said that Joe Dugger with a slapper was equal to Zorro with a sword. Anyway I just wondered what Joe would have said/done with a clown like this. And I imagine he would have said, "Get outa here or I'll put 'The Thin Man' on your ass." The Thin Man was what he called the slapper .... and he meant it.

Once when several of us were at the boxing matches at the Sam Houston Coliseum attending what had been billed as the Texas State Heavyweight Championship Fight. The fight was a real dog and was way dull. At one point during the contest, Joe Dugger's brother made the comment that if they wanted a real state heavyweight championship fight they should have scheduled his brother Joe and Spyder Fincher with slappers. Spyder Fincher was another HPD Officer who knew how to handle a slapper rather well.

Anyway, you never see anyone with a slapper anymore as I imagine they would be considered politically incorrect. And they probably were politically incorrect at the time they were in use....... politically incorrect, but damned effective.

Last week I wrote about Joe Frazier and about "The Thrilla' In Manila" being one of my favorite fights and it was. BUT, I was reminded by an old friend in Houston about a fight which took place in the mid 1950's which I still believe is the greatest fight I ever saw... no exceptions. And that was a Light-Heavyweight Championship fight between Canadian Challenger, Yvonne Durelle and Light Heavyweight Champion, Archie Moore. Durelle was a young bull and triple tough with an iron jaw. Archie Moore was getting near the end of his magnificent career. Although Moore was the favorite, he went down several times in the first round and then I believe once more and he kept getting up. Durelle finally punched himself out and Archie Moore "The Old Mongoose" went to work and knocked Durelle down in I believe the 9th and 10th rounds and finally knocked him out in the 11th round. Archie Moore was a real piece of work and had fought everyone around including two losing battles for the World's Heavyweight Championship with Rocky Marciano in 1955 and then Floyd Patterson several years later. Moore ended his career with an all time record of 131 knockouts of opponents.

OK. Once more, our Republican candidate for 2012 had better forget about the "Moderate" vote and concentrate on the CONSERVATIVE VOTE. Let's get rid of these so called "Moderates". They are not middle of the road candidates. They are LIBERALS in disguise. We have had enough of those folks. If we want our country to take its rightful place in world leadership, we had better elect leaders at every level. LEADERS, not con men.
